The Alfa 159 was one of my favorite cars to see every day in Italy. They are sharp and they stand out.

I bought the new Ozzy CD "Black Rain" today...really good so far. It keeps Ozzy's classic sound while incorporating some new elements into it. The production is great...a lot better than many new albums I've listened to. Listen to the song "Lay Your World On Me" to hear what I'm talking about.

GM looks like it had a good month. Silverado sales are nipping at the heels of F-Series sales (67K vs 69K). Saturn Aura sales also jumped quite a bit over last month...looks like the word is getting out. Some like the Uplander puzzled me though (gotta be incentives giving it a boost). Overall, good to see GM coming back! I wish Ford would see the same gains. They had another lousy month.

Wow, love it all. GM is getting back to the detailed interiors it used to have in its heyday.

One thing that is funny is how the expert review score for the Camry is higher than the actual user reviews, and vice versa for GM and Ford (user higher than expert).Quick comparison: Expert / User Impala 8.0 / 9.3 Fusion 8.0 / 9.1 Taurus 8.0 / 9.3 G6 8.0 / 8.4 Camry 9.0 / 7.3 There's some real venom being spit at the Camry and Tundra over at MSN Autos.

Toyota is going to destroy the Tundra's resale values. It's really fascinating to watch Toyota make the same mistakes that GM and Ford were lambasted for. I read a while back that Toyota's profit margins were narrowing due to its explosive growth in America...how much longer can they afford to practically give these things away before it starts damaging both their reputation and the bottom line? Never mind that the Tundra hasn't even proven itself...if the frame or camshaft issues become widespread, it's over for the Tundra. I'm going to bet that a year from now, Tundra flops like the Titan did.
-
I think we all saw this one coming...it won't really surprise me if they do it. Toyota is like clockwork these days. Ratings for the Olympics are going down anyway...it's probably good GM is getting out now so it can use that $1 billion toward something that will have a bigger impact. Toyota is going to keep buying its way into becoming an "American" company...I don't see any of this as much of a surprise.
-
I agree...it's really a hidden 90s gem. I bought it for $3.99, and it's one of the albums I don't get tired of.The Outfield - Your Love

Cool, I like them all. -
Well, I can't speak for 95+ but the '90 was pretty trouble-free (went to 220,000 miles) and the '94 has been great except for the head-gasket we replaced recently. The 3100 is a solid engine, as are 3800s...and they get good highway mileage. Luminas are also fairly roomy (I'm 6'4" and I fit well in mine) with decent-sized trunks. They can be bought for cheap, too.
-
LA back in the old days...I love pre-1960 pics of LA It's kinda sad to look at these pictures...so much optimism back in those days.
-
Maybe you could find a nice Lumina LTZ...3800 with 200 hp, decent on gas, and not really a bad looking car compared to base 95+ Luminas. I drive a first-gen Lumina and used to have a '90...they're solid cars with the 3.1 and they last a long time.

For as many Tundras are selling, I've seen a grand total of five '07s on the road here since May. All have been in the city/suburbs too. After all the hype the Tundra still hasn't cracked the market that it was supposed to. Take away those $5000-7000 rebates, and I bet the numbers plunge closer to what the '06 was selling.
-
I've been in a Prius so I know what you're talking about with the interior plastics...everything seems to fit well, but it's cheap and hard. All that bare dash doesn't do much except put you to sleep. I've also been in an '06 Avalon and an '03 Corolla; the Avalon seemed ok but the Corolla was as cheap as any other compact on the market.
-
That was cool, but the guys got on my nerves after about a couple minutes...too much talking and camera on them, not enough camera on the cars.
-
Thanks 68, I think it is Freejack! I read the description at Wikipedia and it sounds a lot like what I'm thinking of. I just watched a clip of it on YouTube...it's not nearly as good as I remember it. The production and acting seems pretty cheesy.
-
There's a movie I saw years ago that I just remembered again after recently having bought Demolition Man, but I have no idea what the name of it is. I'm pretty sure it came out in the 90s sometime, and it's in the vein of Demolition Man where a guy gets sent into the future to track somebody down. I think the movie takes place in a future New York (I remember one fight scene takes place in a futuristic highrise building that dwarfs the Empire State Building). The protagonist in the movie used to be a racing driver before he is sent into the future, and he meets up with his girlfriend from the past. It's not Demolition Man and I'm pretty sure it's not Fifth Element...does anyone have an idea what it could be?

She's not really ugly, but not really pleasing to the eye either.

Cold by far...I got my grandpa's genes where I get hot easily. I hate being in hot, humid places...give me -20 wind chills and I can tough it out, but sweltering in your own sweat just sucks. I have a hard time getting to sleep when it's hot, but I can easily fall asleep when it's cold. I think working in a meatpacking plant for 6 1/2 years also increased my defense against cold temps...I don't get cold as easily as most people.
