  1. Good for him. Nice job. I've been saying EXACTLY that for years. WWE = Soap Opera + Violence NASCAR = WWE on wheels
  2. more proof that mediocrity is boss these days.
  3. I'm a semi-agnostic Atheist, not religious at all (I am however, spiritual) I AM mot certainly a gun-nut and a proponent of the 2nd amendment, which I value over my own life. Wealthy... err.... I work two jobs and still have a hard time affording my basic bills! I am white though, so somehow that makes me in a position of power....? I think not. I can't side entirely with either party, both have MAJOR flaws.
  4. except completely destroying parts cars and erasing hundreds of future hot rods and /or classic projects.
  5. It's RWD or nothin' as far as I'm concerned. http://sixty8panther.deviantart.com/art/Li...-snow-100204974 one day before it got totalled by a moron in BMW: http://sixty8panther.deviantart.com/art/on...efore-100483913 Ups parking lot: http://sixty8panther.deviantart.com/art/4x...u-ies-100300072 my "Special" winter beater....shouda never sold it. http://sixty8panther.deviantart.com/art/Sp...-Buick-96864932 and just in case anyone forgot this: (the day I bought my B-59)
  6. disgusting.
  7. This be the T!G#t Wh1P$ way of motorin' If you've changed the oil in it more than twice than it's time to move on!
  8. S-10 Blazers. (1st gens.)
  9. Very, very, cool.... although compared to a 1st gen. it's quite pedestrian. Also, I've always admired the non-RS 70-73s more.... the split bumper never did it for me. The goofy endura nose-cone and odd directional lights are not to my liking. Cletus; A lot of awesome stuff went out the window in 1970.
  10. DF: I agree 100% that in general, by in large, generalization is a bad thing. I'm not a Repulican, though I'm way RIGHT of center, but the constant "Republicans are white millionaire pricks" stereotype is annoying and quite ignorant.... my post was REACTIONARY.
  11. Yeah, I posted about this a few months ago.... I too am perplexed. http://www.cheersandgears.com/index.php?sh...c=22949&hl= Is Bricklin somehow behind this? it reeks of his foolish optimism.
  12. Exactly. It's what separates te ME from the BOYS!
  13. We need to do as Japan does, tax the F*** out of ANY car with a high import-parts content. We'll see how many Toyotas are sold in the USA when a 4-cylinder Camry LE costs $45,000. Hell yeah!!! I fear this as well. Politicians are so effin out of touch they'll scream for more green, watered down, non-offensive, vagina-friendly crap and veto anything with a V8 or a frame.. (mentime they are driven aroud in Town Cars, Devilles & Escalades on the taxpayer's dime while taking bribes from Toyopet & Hondur!)
  14. The Republican party has completely LOST it, and for the record so have the Democrats, just in the opposite extreme. I am more and more Libertarian by the day. With all due respect... why, in 2008 are we still bringing RACE into it? Is Condi Rice any LESS Republican than the Bush clan? I'm in a Union & I'll tell ya... plenty of Democrats f*** the little guy, most of them are dirty pieces of sh!% just like most poloiticins! Let's not drink from the Socialist/Bleeding Heart Koolaid just yet.
  15. Preaching the correctness of RWD. Bearer of the hardtop torch, even when many ignorant fools would rather just extinguish it rather than make an effort. I'm also the Classic Detroit iron collector on a budget....
  16. GM: When the heck are you going to learn? FWD must die in your "upscale" products!
  17. Along with classic cars, tractor trailers, architecture & aviation-related stuff, I take a ton of sunset photos myself... this is prob. my best one in the past year, if not ever... although "SpeedingPenguin" technically took it. http://sixty8panther.deviantart.com/art/Rt-128-92632402 (my DeviantArt link)
  18. If only I had enough money.... although I wonder how many of those cars are rotted to death. Parking a car on top of tall grass in a field in Vermont is not very conducive to preservation.
  19. That's a damn good lookin' truck.
  20. The G8 is "teh Seks" in plain GT form if you ask me.... the GXP makes it orgazmic. So clean... yet sporty and upscale... Zeta has sooo much untapped potential.
  21. NO, NO, NO, NO!!!! Sickening.... it's one thing when the liberal d!%kless a$$-hats in California attempt this twice a yer, seemingly, but this is unacceptable coming from one of the Big Three. The relatively abundant supply of old GM iron is what keeps me sane while new cars suck more, and more...
  22. Good times. Although Sofia is in her "act out and defy any attempt at structure" stage Jessica helped big time by diffusing and distracting.... it was a good day, fun times. My top 5 fav. NEW cars were: (in about this order) - Pontiac G8-GXP - Cadillac CTS-V - Chevrolet Camaro - Dodge Challenger - Mercedes Benz CL Of course compared to the Duesenberg J, they all pretty much fell way short.... but that's like saying "you're a pretty damn good ball player, but Michael Jordan could still whoop your butt" The Stanley Steamer was to die for a well... not to mention the other gorgeous pre-war cars like a brass era Ford Model-T, Chrysler Q coupe that made me drool uncontrollably, not one but TWO pre-war Buicks, one being PRE-PRE-war, as well as a 1911 Chevrolet, Pierce Arrow, Springfield (American made) Rolls Royce and a few 1950s & 1960s customs. I'l post some pis. of my own when i have a chance.
  23. Wow... just, wow. Glad to hear that all ended mostly well. Insane stuff. You really do have some bad luck. This time maybe you ca avoid Toyopet rentals, although if you do get one instead of taping over the emblems with trash bags I vote you just tape huge "TRASH" and "I'd rather be driving an American car" emblems/signs over the Toyo-DUR emblem-age. FTW!
  24. I love threads like this. And for once I didn't start it. I feel nostalgic every day of my life! I'm a car fanatic, and as compared to the 1930s, 1950s & even the 1960s MOST of todays cars just plain SUCK! In 1960, things like FWD, post-sedans & subdued styling were known to be inferior to the wildly sexy Americana that was being churned out at an incredible rate from the Big Three. Show me a classic car from 1960 that is worth big money & 99% of the time I'll show YOU a big, luxurious 'Merican iron-block, pushrod V8 powered , HARDTOP with tail fins big enough to make a Cessna blush. Meantime today Lincoln is a joke, Cadillac refuses to make a big car, even a mid-size luxury coupe or ANY form of hardtop or V16 derivative, & Imperial is dead as a doornail. Sad F*&%ig time, this is.
  25. my gut instinct was Pontiac right off the bat... I'm voting '67 Pontiac, there is no sign of a marker light.
