  1. How much of a detour would it take for us to have a coffee or burger togeather...?
  2. Yeah, I feel stuuupid now. I'l mapquest it from my house and see what we come up with... If you feel comfortable doing so PM me your tel. # as I will not have internet access on my way down. NOS: you're in Michigan right? :(
  3. Burnout in a 454 powered Hearse? You sir are my Hero!
  4. Like I keep saying: GM should make a modern day 215. A small aluminum V8 engine that would range from perhaps 2.9 to 3.5 liters. Small, cmopact and lightweight but with all the appeal of a SBC. Imagine an ALL V8 division from GM wiht a full size range of cars! Like Cadillac and Buick. Even a compact Skylark could have a 2.9 liter V8 standard. Add to that the fact that it could me mounted longetudinaly and transversely and you've got a winning combo! :metal:
  5. I'm not sure weather that's wicked funny or just in poor taste. I guess a mix of both. I'm sure you meant no harm by it though. Crazy. :P
  6. Wow, that sucks. :( Sorry to hear that. Have you done a tune-up to that car since you've had it? Battery okay?
  7. The problem in not as much the time as the milage... another 200 miles is another 40 bucks in gas round trip in my most fuel efficient car. (Datsun) But I'm not giving up on you yet my friend... what's your town called again? Something with a B---, I keep wanting to say Bakersfield but that's the town my Camaro lived in (Calif.) from 1968-1987.
  8. I was fooled by the Grand Am Chrome ones until I started working at Bill DeLuca Chevy/Pontiac... I was chesking one out from up close and was like WTF??? I ended up winning a bet about this very topic wit the Ass. Manager. :P
  9. It's definite.... "somewhere in southern New Jersey by friday 8AM" When I asked about a town or general locale I was told: "you'll be told when the time comes... gas up the car thursday night" This kind of crap comes with the terretory though. BV: how close are you to "Southern Jersey?" I'll come to you if it's not too bad.
  10. I just got off the phone with our bigggest Client and it turns out I'll be driving to Southern New Jesrey for "business" on Friday. I'll pobably be in Jersey most of the day Friday as it just so happens that Turqioise '59 Buick LeSabre Flat top is located there. (ebay # 4587964307 ) I'm hoping to get togeather wiht Balthazar and hang out wiht him at some point Firday (PMed him already) but I'm wondering how many of you could also meet up wiht me or vice versa. I might be able to justify visiting Penn if some of you (Ocnblu, Black&BlueLandscaper, Camino, BV.... etc.) are willing to guide me to a good burger joint or whatever where we could meet. In any case let me know if this is a possiblility. :) If you guys want to call me just PM me and I'll give you my home #, I hate email as it is so impersonal... but if you must: [email protected] See you on the flip side! -- Silvester (sixty8)
  11. At least you're honest. :P A friend of mine who will go nameless has a realy evil storyb taht started like this... (God I'm going to burn in hell for just repeating this) ...it ended with her waking up the next morning and her eyeball sealed shut with some sort of protein shake. I guess her boobs and hair had some satins as well but she just took a shower and never said anything. And NO it was NOT me. Although it is damn funny since she never caught on.
  12. Hope we're not saying the same thing about the remainder of B-O-P in a few years.
  13. Wow... Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Lamborghini Countach surpases rollover resistance by far cmopared to a Toyota Land Cruiser. :rollover: Pretty Silly. BTW: Harley, I liked you signatures better when you used to have GM classics from the 50s and 60s. :(

Don't they have both sets of sexual organs? That woudl just mean he'd be less pissy and bitchy... after al you'd never have to leave the house to get a thrill!
  15. To be honest bud, maybe I missed it as I just scanned several of these Prius/fuel economy/anti-Toyota threads. All I know is in the real world the car has to be traveling down hill for 30 minutes straight at 55mph to get 50mpg and yet that's exactly what was promissed by Toyota for every day driving. A beat up 1995 Tercel 5-speed for $3,000 is a better choice for obtaining excellent fuel economy and not breaking the bank than a $25,000 Prius. Not to mention the $4000 batteries that will make resale on the Prius drop like an Anvil once they get anywhere close to 100,000K and all the possible gremlins still to be worked out from this technology. I've been stuck on the side of the road a couple times in the past few years... bad water pump on a 185K mile Cadillac and blown transmisson on my '68 Camaro because I ran it bone dry like a retard and other such annoying stuff but if I bought a $25,000 Prius and after all the hype it left me stranded I'd be writting some angry letters to Toyota ASAP.
  16. Oh, boy. I guess I walked right into that one... [/NedFlanders]
  17. He-he.... "Ubber-Alfa-Male" :P How is the Fiero a gay car? A purple of turquoise Tracker? Yes. A baby blue base model Mitshubishi Eclipse with Flower pattern steering wheel? sure But not a mid engined Ferrari 308 wannabe.
  18. I got a flat once from what I would swear to be something along the lines of flack form a WWII air raid. Like a B17 had flown over Rt.495, got slammed wiht a direct hit and a huge rivet holding on a vital component got blown off/ripped at a very severe angle (like a piece fo shrapnel out of a comic book) and then landed on the highway for me to pickup wiht my Oldsmobile's Michellin tire. Somehow this pice of metal ended up sharp on all three of it's "triangular" corners. I stil have it at my Parent's house in a drawer somewhere.

  21. I was tempted to Vote: "A Caprice-like BOF retro-cruiser" but went with the first Bonneville choice.
  22. Orchard Beach? As In Old Orchard Beach in Maine?
  23. LOVE IT!!!
  24. Wow, Jay-more has lived the life! I'm jelaous. I want to find a survivor '59 Buick Flxible hearse. 49 were made only one survives officially. There HAS to be at least one sitting in a barn somewhere! :( If I find one I'll give the owner a filet knife and a glass jar and let him grab my right kidney so that I can drive/tow/push her away!
  25. Mustang84: Wow! That's tragic in a "only happens in the movies" kind of way. Wish him well, that kid needs & deserves a miracle. Ocnblu: Not only do you always make me laugh but you always speak the truth... I'm going to come down soon and visit you soon! I'm palning a HUGE roadtrip for this January or possibly next spring. I'll try to meet al you NY/NJ/PA C&Gers! If I win the lottery I'll show up he next day in a '69 Camaro, '59 Buick or '61 Caddy. :)
