  1. Done. Later I'll tell Julie to do same.
  2. oh, right... Sunoco, Rt.114 Danvers, MA. $2.09 (last night)
  3. Rt.114 Middleton, Mass. A+Prime gas: $1.99/gal. I do believe that gas has not dipped below $2 'round these parts since prior to Katrina. I drove past this station after I almost filled the tank in the Mercedes for $30.00 at Sunoco no less!
  4. Kick ass. The guy in the segway was the best part. Thank for posting Cletus, while I wish your rear 1/4 window was down on your Impala, (signature) I do wholeheartedly agree about your def. of "sport compact" B) Remind me again why the Camaro will not have an AWD option!? (I'd go for the RWD version but think of how many Subaru or Audi owners might step up to a sexy, sporty coupe with AWD & a turbocharged six cylinder or four.)
  5. Hahha.... it's fun to revisit old threads sometimes. Since Marcia and me completely disolved our relationship about that same time as that post, evne though it was really "over" in summer of 2006, she still has the Infiniti Q45, it was never replaced by a '96 B-body. I have however since then owned two B-bodys, one LT1 powered Roadmaster Estate that came and went in 2007, and my current daily driver 1992 RoadmOnster sedan. I'm still working on a pre-war car and have gotten much less picky. Any pre-war car would make me happy, it does not have to be GM, might even consider a Ford or UK/German made car if it was pre-1939. On the plus side I have my 1959 Buick, and though it is still not roadworthy and the motor is hamf appart I did manage to drive the car 7500 miles last year.
  6. I agree. we live in a nation that is comprised of selfish, idiotic, ignorant, self-serving morons. The football game, latest iPod and a Gucci purse will always trump any amount of economic danger to the USA in their skewed attention span. I think Ponchoman49 was making the same point, American Idol is discussed ad naseum while we pay no attention to the unemployment stats & talk of impending economic doom. That movie Idiorcary is right.
  7. Why? Why does the whole world use the USA as a doormat and now while we're kind of on the same page, you're more conncerned with talking about not stepping on toes & making certain to be P.C. when it's our economic security & childern's future at stake. I say F*** you to the world. Everyone can go F*** them selves, we give them a hand-out they HATE us, we leave them alone, they HATE us, we treat them with respect and rebuild their country after they attack us and provoke us into WWII and they still have no respect for us, they play games & economically rape us continually while we say: "Please stop" or "I hope you enjoyed raping me..." I'm sick of all this P.C. bullcrap.
  8. Hmmm.... '72 is not one of my favorite years but that color is boss.
  9. While often true, it's NOT a rule. Either way, even with terrible plot & crappy acting it will be fun to see a 5th gen. power-slide around a public street and pour smoke from it's rear wheel well, chunks of rubber flying.
  10. If they had designed a shared platform for both a hardtop & convertible and not wasted time on a crappy sedan that needs to be strengthened for a convertible version this would be a non-issue. Think about it. Just GM tripping over $1.00 bills to pick up dimes... AGAIN!
  11. This thread was dumb until O.B. posted this: That's funny.
  12. Greed. Disgusting, inexcusable greed. The reason why dealers keep pulling this B.S. is because there's always a dumb mofo with more money than brains, common sense or self-respect who pays the markup only to own the car a week earlier than his neighbor.
  13. The 1972 GTO is IMHO hideous while the '70 is perfect. 1970 was perfection, the '71/'72 nose is ugly as sin to me. Different strokes for different strokes.
  14. Quarter of a million dollar$? Gesus Krist. Still, 'm glad it's in existance, & will now get saved & preserved for future generations. Not that mot of them will appreciate this since they'll be busy driving Scion suX mini-mini-vans & Acura Civic i-Vtec-DI-HXF-LX hybrids. Personally for a 1/4 million I'd be rockin' either a V-16 Cadillac ...or a HOUSE!
  15. That Firebird Formul;a in Elkart makes my heart go all pitter-patter... and I actually love that color, funny that it's called "Firethorn". This is how 1979 Cadillacs do "firethorn metallic"
  16. I've bought any sold many a car on craigslist after my boycot of eBay started due to being double charged all the fees for selling my '68 Camaro. (the one that is BACK on eBay) Craigslist is just like anything else... From my experience it seems to be 70% bread and butter decent to great buys, 25% overpriced/falsely advertised crap & 5% home-run bargains. So far, in the past few years I've bought a good percentage of my cars off craigslist, two of which I've had fantastic luck with and still own at the moment. -1962 Buick Special (196 Fireball V6) -1984 Mercedes Benz 500SEC -1992 Buick Roadmaster Sedan -1976 Buick LeSabre 455, 4-door hardtop -1977 Cadillac Coupe deVille -1990 Chevrolet Suburban 1500/2wd -1982 Mercedes Benz 240D
  17. The biggest risk to me being able to ever drive this, or any other Duesenberh, or any other famous race car that was built before the (outbreak of) WWll would be that I might have a heart attack from the sheer thrill of starting the motor.
  18. Agreed. Problem is, some people have the power to selectively censor one thread/person/post and not another, it is funny how some people can talk around a subject and never answer the original question...
  19. Congrats Camino.... your work ethic and taste in cars are to be commended. :useless:
  20. Haaha-ha, O.B. With her appetite, love of sleep & a few facial features I'm told by most that her pedigree is unquestionable. Mom & baby are home from the hospital as of last night and all is well.... I remember Sofia sleeping a LOT as an infant, I know that's hat babies do, but Amelia is just on whole 'nother level! Like Julie likes to say, "Sleeping is her super-power!"
