Even a broken watch is correct twice a day. :AH-HA_wink:
  2. Sure... that's an insult in both directions.
  3. In any case, WASTE OF TIME. Now now... let's not go jumping to conclusions.
  4. Last CD I just played at work few hours ago: "AstroCreep 2000" by White Zombie. (instant classic for those in the Nintendo Generation)
  5. Yeah.... the Tracker is not a good case for BOF. more + news: I'm currently watching "For a few Dollars More" (Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef) One of the best (Spaghetti) Westerns of all time.
  6. Looks like it's high time I get my @ss in gear and find a cheap, classic 455-powered Pontiac for a (dry-weather) daily driver.
  7. Agreed 66S. Although classic cars > newer cars. Almost always, IMHO. Anyway. More stupidity: Apparently a 20oz. Coca~Cola contains 2.5 "servings."

That's a gorgeous '55 Clipper Constellation hardtop! The '58 Packard-Baker (or Stude-Packard if you prefer) is err.... unique. Not my cup of tea though.
  9. That is stupid on many levels and for many reasons, but esp. since a late model Camry costs about the same as the car this one was trying to emulate. Not that a Ford Probe with Ferrari emblems is rational or any less of a waste of time, but at least the end result is based on a car that is unobtainable to the retard willing to spend $500 on custom vinyl.
  10. "they're not even a real country anyway..." -S.P.B.L.U. ----- All joking aside: Reason No.357 why the 2nd Amendment is essential to all that makes our Nation the best in the world. STILL.
  11. Disgusting! [expletive] Selfish! $@%#&*! For the record I'm still on the fence about the bailout myself, but this is just (censored)!
  12. wacky late-1980s/early-1990s style "Kuston" Chevrolet reg-cab./step-side pick-up. The truck was originally a 1980-87 M.Y. The customization included some slick bowtie-shaped tail lights hidden inside the rear rollpan. EVERYTHING on the truck was gloss black... except for the glass and headlights.
  13. when Porsche 911 ads talk about Co2 and MPGs. (I flipped through a few car-rags at the pharmacy today)
  14. Oh boy, we're dragging this dead horse out of the closet. Don' have time to read it but I'll just add, in typical C&G fashion: "Henry Ford was a blatant AntiSemetic" on a related note, go look at the pre-war emblem on a Dodge (Brothers) car BTW
  15. Agreed. I think it's a bit awkward too.... but much less so than a B-pillar on a Camaro or CTS-coupe.
  16. My excuse (2008): Amelia is coming any day now... but next year is a serious possibility! I've missed two days of work as of today, I'm sick as a dog. I'll spare you the details.
  17. Wow, I do not think I ever watched the video until now.... (prob. would not open at work when this thread was new) Reg. the video: the F150 & Silverado seemed to do about the same, I honestly would not buy an F150 over a Siverado simply because knowing what I do about trucks GM makes the best damned one period. Let's not forget who pioneered hydro-forming! Now as far as the Tundra, EPIC_FAIL! What a turd, I hate Toyota & all but I have to admit, I was shocked at how bad the Tundra did.
  18. yeah.... you gotta own one to understand, even in a side impact these cars prob. do as well if not better than a lot of "five star" cars these days. Everything opens, closes and moves like a bank-vault. Mercedes is one of a few manufacturers that gives unibody chassis a good name. When I "hate" on unibody a car like my 500SEC does not count.
  19. Maybe it's an enthusiast thing but whenever someone hangs-back after driving aggressively I assume they might be getting ready to drop the hammer.
  20. That's HAWT!!! BTW: Camino, what was the final conclusion on the high-fender-to-A-pillar section on modern cars? You said you had a sound theory, you know, as to why the top of the rear section of the fender is migrating onto the A-pillar?
  21. I've been thinking about replacing the Roadmonster with a 300CE. How cool would THAT be? A 100% two-door fleet consisting of two Mercedes Benz hardtops and a 1959 Buick. These days two kids means "gotta have a minivan/suv" to most Americans, here I am considering getting rid of my one sedan for another TWO door.
  22. Well, I will agree that paying a few grand more for a Fit over an Aveo is worth it. Either way I'd never spend that kind of money on a car the size of a sardine can.
  23. My parents have had great luck with their '05 Cobalt, they drive it quite conservatively but put on like 22K miles a year... Their 2001 Grand Am GT1 is the backup car these days. The Cobalt averages 28+ mile per gallon, mostly highway but that includes some rush hour traffic, and it's an automatic.
  24. On a somewhat related note, I should have bought that diesel Chevette that XP found on craigslist last year... it was in Maine, short change. That kid is like the king of craigslist finds. Whenever my phone goes off and I'm with my wife and it's XP she's always "what now?" cause so many times it's something wild like: "Datsun 310 hatchy 4-speed on CL Conn."
