Labor Day Weekend Plans?

Recommended Posts

Traveling across ND.....ALL THE WAY across North Dakota.....I'm sure you can all imagine how fun that would be. A friend of mine is getting married in town right up in the corner of the state next to Montana and Canada. I live in Fargo, which is right on the Minnesota border and about 75 miles away from SD. I'm coming back on Sunday though, and might head out to the lake for actual Labor Day if it is nice enough out. I want to get out there at least one more time before it gets cold out for good.

Not much on Sat. and Sun. except getting ready to hop on a plane. I'll be in the air on Monday, going to ATL.

No more fun trips. Going to ATL and Florida for a week apiece to check them out for relocation. If those don't "work out" then I will default to the West. But somehow, I think I will in fact make the cross-country relocation to the East since I loved living in ATL when I was there for 2 years.

Try to organize my new house a little better. Now that we got the old one emptied out so we can give the keys to the city. That poor old house is so trashed from people taking stuff from it and the asbestos people putting holes in the walls and other things that it will be a good thing when they do finally tear it down. And I lived in that house since 1978. Just wish my Dad was here to enjoy the new house with us. That hurts a little bit.

I've got big plans... like bigger than B-59, more significant than

Super-88, life changing BIG. I'm not sure why I have not been

getting into the intimate details of my personal life on here as

much as I used to, but I MIGHT disclose to you guys later.

Either way have a good Labor Day all!

Well, we were planning to go visit my grandparents and enjoy Ocean City before it effectively goes out of season, but the perpetual issues among my uncle, his wife, and my grandad basically trashed those plans (grandad told my parents he never wants to see any of us again). No loss to me, really.

Anyways, I think I'll be spending at least an evening looking into different colleges, something I've been meaning to do. I'm leaning towards York College of PA right now. I also think I'll pull my bike out and ride it around the neighborhood.

A friend's cottage tomorrow. Drinking. BBQ. Drinking. Depending on the mood, maybe a huge club event on Sunday night in the City, or I'll just stay at my friend's cottage, drinking. When we sober up (if!), terrorize the lake in his powerboat. Scare the neighbors with my Speedo. Give the same neighbors more reasons to snicker about Ellen DeGeneres, Elton John, Barry Manilow and any other entertainer that their feeble minds can conjure up to loudly talk about when we are all sitting on the dock.

(Just because they are too huge and saggy to wear anything but trunks, is no reason to get all jealous and bitchy that I can still wear a Speedo at 46 and NOT get ticketted by the fashion police!)

Ah, cottage life.............

Saturday--College football

Sunday--Abso-friggen-lutely nothing

Monday--Loading up the kayak and going floating with some family and friends

Tuesday--Apparently meeting the person/persons who have rented the house next door. According to another neighbor, the house next to mine (which has been a rental since the builder bought it back when the owners divorced a few years ago) has been re-rented, the last couple over there was ok, they kept to themselves and weren't a huge pain in the ass, which many of the renters around here are.

Saturday ... wash, wax, clean the interior of the '87 MC LS.

Sunday ... maybe wash all of the older 4 and/or drive 'em.

Monday ... not sure yet ... maybe clean the interiors of the older 4 MCs ... or just drive 'em all day. We'll see.

Sleep is a must, though ... sometime ... he he.

I'm a "last-a-minute" kind of guy.

Irrelevent...

Well tonight I went cruising, then ventured into some really $h!ty parts of Detroit around 1:00 AM, saw tons of cops, then toured downtown and by Comerica Park and Ford Field, then ventured my way home around a half hour ago with a couple friends.

Other than that, I'm probably just playing around with the Cobalt for a good chunk of my time off this weekend...
