Environmental Hysteria is Bullsh!t

Recommended Posts

I don't know if any of you have seen this before... But Penn and Teller have a show on Showtime called "Bull$h!" where they debunk popular social assertions, the supernatural etc.. well they devoted a half hour to environmental hysteria. There's a dusting of profanity, so put those headphones on! It's certainly a very entertaining show!

I love that show, but YouTube had all the videos deleted a while back. Seems they're sneaking back on now.

Edit: Few things make me yell louder into my laptop than college know-it-all hippies. :(

I'm convinced this country is going to self-destruct trying to solve something that nobody knows anything about. The thing that is causing the pain right now are oil prices, mostly due to speculation and competition abroad. If we can get that solved, this hysteria will go away. People love to panic and fret over anything. Rising oil prices combined with rising living costs and all these natural disaster / apocalypse shows on TV give enviro-hysterics fuel for the fire.

I think I remember reading somewhere that the average temperatures have actually been dropping the last ten years (Gore left that tidbit out of his movie) and that this winter was one of the coldest since the 70s. Even so far this year, only a couple days have been above 80 around here....I remember back in the mid 90s you could see 90+ F temps in April. Right now it's 67 F outside...highly unusual for June.
