Looking at Kia and VW, looks like people are heading back toward cheaper stuff.. #timeforthediscounts2 points

I think you'd be fine with either of the Buicks, however the '16 feels a bit larger inside than the '18. I think you'll appreciate the space.2 points

Just a typo but GMC is shown in red but sales are up. GMC - Up 9.8% - 151,700 QTD / 277,277 YTD2 points

I really like the CTS Coupe2 points

XT4-V Blackwing.... oops... I just ordered a dishwasher part instead.2 points

I agree, it gets cumbersome say something like CT5-V Blackwing Just drop the V for the Blackwing trim.... maybe that's what they're doing....2 points

Amazing mileage for such a big vehicle and as @smk4565 puts it.. an "old" engine. Just goes to show, newer isn't always better. I bet a turbo-4 with the same horsepower would suck fuel like crazy because the boost would always be on.2 points

You just like to pick on FCA. They sell more Jeeps than Volkswagen and Audi combined. They sell more than all of Hyundai. They sell more than all of Kia. They're moving a lot of metal. Jeep alone sells about 50% of the entire Toyota brand.1 point

So they're a bit more than I'm willing to spend on a used car. Single teacher here on Long Island, so I need my money for other things to survive! Besides... that semi-circle gauge cluster is god awful. I don't know who approved that.1 point

@Paolino Have you looked at the Cadillac XTS? There are some great CPO deals at least around Seattle.1 point

It is what's called "spin". I'm surprised they didn't mention that Crew Cab sales have a higher ATP too..1 point
-
I find it a little odd they have to mention "crew cab" sales being up while the rest of the Silverado and Sierra lines are down.1 point

Leading the way, America will get there 20 years after them.1 point

hahah, I think there's a lot of cars that I like that you don't.1 point

I sure hope they drop the V as CT5-V Blackwing is a mouthful. CT5 Blackwing sounds good.1 point

I think the CTS Coupe is one of the ugliest vehicles of the modern era. It looks so incredibly bad from anywhere but the front. The sedan looks so good but the just quit on the coupe and just "made it work".1 point

You've just given me a BRILL idear! They should amend their naming scheme just a TAD... to CT-8-6-4!1 point

Rivian news can be found here. Thank you for pointing out that I had made an error setting up the news flow from the articles app to the forums. That has now been fixed and all future Rivian articles will automagically go into the forum. Wish granted.1 point

The CTS coupe is an example of a polarizing Cadillac. So terrible though. With a gunslit back glass when viewed from inside the car, and just an ugly fat ass. Difficult to believe it came from the same company that has ACED the coupe mystique innumerable times over its history. I did like the ATS coupe, but now I feel it was a bit too tame perhaps. Where is Cadillac's GOLDILOCKS? Escalade. CT6.1 point

Yes, that blue and tan is nice. I also love Lincoln's interesting interior colors. The blue is divine. Luxury cars could be more bespoke because luxury car buyers want to stand out. Lincoln gets a thumbs up for all of their newest interiors. Lincoln wants to be seen as a car for people who come from wealthy families for generations... where Cadillac comes across as too techy and sterile... unwarm.1 point
-
So unbelievably cartoonish and stupid. They are as bad at coming up with names as they are designing a car, and putting together a nice interior.1 point

I'm cool with learning yet one more moniker--I'd be okay with just that... CT5 Blackwing, CT6 Blackwing, etc. You only see "CT#" in one spot on the car... Blackwing (or perhaps some logo) can be on the trunk, seats, dash, when you start it up, engine cover, etc.1 point

Correction: let Alfa Romeo AND FIAT stand on their own and DIE.1 point

If you're already sold on an ATS, you're not going to not buy the red one because the plastic in the center is cheap looking. It's the same on all of them. In other words... if you're going to get an ATS, might as well get one with the red interior instead of the black. I like the blue and tan that jeep does on some models.1 point
-
that's because GM's plastics and leathers are cheap to start with and when its not tan, gray or black it looks that much more like ass. If the leather and plastics were better quality the unique colors would look a lot better. I sat in a Stelvio with the red leather awhile back and all the red interior and leather looked really good. GM never really pulls off colors well because they don't execute.1 point

I agree you need a more accessible sport trim and 640 hp is not really usable on regular roads. But if you spent 15 years on the “V” name brand I don’t know if I would throw that away in a reboot. Although Cadillac threw away SRX and CTS for reboots so I guess it doesn’t matter. If Blackwing is the top trim and you are going with a word name there, why not use word names for the models too and throw away the awful alfa-numeric names in favor of word names.1 point

Never quite caught on back then. But like EVs today, technology has changed and they're trying them again.1 point

I like the (2nd generation) CTS Coupe. It looks like the VW Corrado to be honest, but I like it. Can't say the same about the creaky Recaro seats in the car though. Those were a disgrace.0 points

Yeah, a Mojito w/ appetizers, 2+ glasses of wine and an after-dinner Hennessy may have been too much... but it was fun. Today is a sad day, though...have to take one of our dogs to the vet to PTS...0 points
