  1. This thing is so right. I've owned 5 S-10 pickups brand new. This is my 4th Colorado. I may as well "do me". When I ordered my 2015, I ordered it in blue... when I got home from the dealer, they called me and said Laser Blue was not available yet for order, so I went with my second choice, Cyber Gray. Now, in 2019, I have the blue Colorado I wanted.

  2. This is what Cadillac needs to push out STAT across all North America. The Return to the Stand Alone LUXURY Cadillac Dealership. First one to open brand new from scratch in Canada. The dealership is awesome, the focus on luxury experience first rate based on the read. @balthazar will love the old Cadillac's they have there. Kudos to this franchise seeing and taking the chance on doing this right as a Luxury brand. http://cadillacsociety.com/2019/08/06/how-standalone-cadillac-dealers-are-shifting-sales-strategies/

  3. The closest Cadillac dealership to me is stand-alone.

  4. My local Cadillac dealership was remodeled only a few years ago. Cadillac dealerships generally need to impress people and convince them that buying German is a really bad idea from the moment you step in to the moment you leave with a new Cadillac of your choice.

  5. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE GOLF R TO COME BACK AS AN ELECTRIC THING.

  6. The thing is that you can have a Hybrid with 30~50 mile electric range (12~20kWH battery) or you can have a pure electric with 200~300 mile range. They'll weigh about the same. That additional 60kWH in battery capacity is going to cost you about 700 lbs in vehicle weight. If you'll like an ICE it is going to cost you about 700 lbs too for the engine, cooling system and transmission. If you want both, be prepared for a 5,500~6,000 lbs car (The model S is already 4,900 lbs).

  7. Tesla quality -- interior wise -- has NEVER been at the level of a luxury car much less a $100K luxury car. In fact, Hyundai puts them to same.

  8. I guess if they can have a new Pacifica (nee Town and Country) and still sell the old Caravan, I guess anything is possible. Milk that last drop out of old development costs!

  9. I think the problem with the Golf R is cost, those are over $40k and it is a VW Golf. A GTI is $13k less and a lot more manageable monthly payment wise for the demographic that is buying Golfs.

  10. i tried them on for size at the auto show, they are super tight, the 3 keeps getting smaller. NFW i would look at a Mazda3, the Civic, Jetta make way more sense. The only reason to get a mazda would be the nicer interior digs or if you like the styling at this point. Shit, buy a GTI if you want a performer. Or a used A3.

  11. The Cadillac dealership nearest me is standalone and has been since it opened shop prior to 1973.

  12. No, they're not a poor-man's BMW like the buff books say, but they are almost always better than their direct competition in their respective classes. The current Civic is the possible exception. Yes, I've driven a 2020 Corolla and Corolla hybrid at the same event as I drove a Mazda 3 Hatch with AWD. If interior room is the important factor, then head over to VW and try a new Jetta, it's nearly a mid-size in there.

  13. Type S = Type SUCK Extra money for a lousier ride in a car that goes no faster.

  14. At least two of the stand alone Cadillac dealers in my area look like that. ... though one of them is not truly stand alone as it is on a "campus" of dealerships that include Buick, GMC, Hyundai, Subaru, Mazda, and a big pre-owned lot.

  15. Well, a cheap truck is a cheap truck- could even discount it a bit to up sales. Still need that midsize though...

  16. @regfootball Maybe they are testing a truck suspension on that mazda.

  17. Good move, and a great truck. Had a 2019 Classic 1500 Crew Cab Big Horn, $48k sticker, as a rental for a few thousand miles. Loved it. More manueverable and easy to drive than many cars, length aside. Comfortable, solid, quiet, tough, quick, good mileage, and easy to use. I'd take it back in a second. Was sad to give it back to Enterprise...it was so easy to park, even parallel, with big camera, sensors, mirrors and powertrain mapping, never had an issue. That big firm cloth bench seat up front with USB ports...liveable. Great deal, and thanks to not looking "old", they're an easy sell for dealers with the incentives.

  18. Gladiator is a toy, plain and simple. Dodge needs a midsize truck. 275k sales in six munts bears that out. "Dakota" still holds a positive connotation with John Q. Public. There are plenty of reasons to choose a midsize truck over a fullsize. Towing or not Hauling a bunch of ppl or not Gas mileage (on mainstream engines) Maneuverability in tight spots Garageability Price Feeling cute, IDK, might hit a tight trail after work or on the wknds

  20. Ram is too big Gladiator has too small of a bed Let's try and fill every little niche and see how long it takes to start cutting products because they're cut too thin.
