  1. Again with this??
  2. Heck, I’m just hoping for cheaper models for this... I was sold at the front lighting up the way it did.... ? Front looks cool as well......
  3. Right. I don't think anyone here was comparing it to an ICE engine. A BEV goes about power delivery in a totally different way and all torque is available at 0 RPM. It really should be stated as 11,500 lb.-"in." of torque for electric motors, but that would confuse John Q. Public. There's a whole different equation to it, but either way it's well into the thousands.
  4. Something GM has ready right now...a BOF BEV truck that can handle the weight, utilizing the BT1XX platform (based off of the T1XX) launching in May with Hummer EV by GMC. Gonna be interesting!
  5. Robert: I don’t remotely see Ford marketing an EV pickup outside of the F-150 line, esp after showing the electrified F-150. Only makes sense, if Ford remotely sees a future of all EVs— that it be incorporated into the #1 selling model line rather than ‘competing’ with it. But you’re right: time will tell. Dfelt : I’m curious to know the structural competitiveness of a BE skateboard vs. a boxed perimeter frame in a full-size truck. Not saying it can’t be built to the same standard at all, just curious if there are major engineering hurdles to overcome.
  6. Right, CyberTruck has nothing on Hummer by GMC! After all everyone loves a Hummer! ? Even the Eco Warriors can get behind this Hummer! ?
  7. There’s already a list of EV startups that have ‘gone away’, going back years & years. It’s not the market/ economics at large, but the fragility of the EV business case- that metric still has not radically changed.
  8. Gakk...that thing is a special kind of hideous... tasteless bling trash.
  9. An H2 is not even remotely the same size as a G Wagen.
  10. I'm really impressed... those numbers are staggering. Blind spot monitoring optional, I'm sure.
  11. Umm, you do know this is a pickup right?! There is a talk of an SUV, but rumor has it that it hinges on whether or not the truck does decently in sales.
  12. Except... that's an Oldsmobile Delta 88
  13. Last day of the month and, I spy an old 80's era Chevrolet walking into 24hr fitness.
  14. This is my fav video dyno pull :
  15. Money CANNOT buy Class. This is the textbook antonym of class.
  16. Yeah, those pesky Nm's haha. Here's some numbers that will make everyone's head spin. https://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/electrical-motors-hp-torque-rpm-d_1503.html https://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/moment-rotating-shaft-d_952.html
  17. FWIW, I've read the ZR1 Vette has something like 9300 lb-ft of torque in 1st gear when multiplied similarly.
  18. Just like we have to educate the public on newton meters versus lb-ft like HP versus kW. EV's require a change in thinking and as has been proven so much, older folks have a harder time changing gears to the new mind set. Course Cadillac is already confusing the boomers with 400 versus 2.0 LOL
  19. Looks pretty good, dig the meaty tires and front looks pretty mean, much cleaner look especially with losing the hideous lower air-dam that really does nothing, but hinder ground clearance.
  20. The Amazon Vans are much longer than the R1t / F150 base truck. RJ is on record that due to the motors being mounted between the front and rear wheels, it allows them to stretch the platform for any length including any size battery pack. This to me says they could easily handle an HD King Crew Cab with 8' bed with ease plus give you a 300kWh battery pack for say 500 to 600 miles.
  21. Gonna be a beast. 11,500 lb.- ft.?! GM: Hey any anyone want to pull a house off it's foundation and down the street?! Or just a truck load full of Elon Musk's narcissistic ego?! We got ya! Pretty much an F U to Tesla. "Cybertruck this Elon Musk" ?? Straight up Krunk!
  22. Every 2-3 months we're hitting a new recession!!
  23. What's weird is if they used about 1/5 - 1/4 of that gold, it would look pretty sharp being black with some gold accents. Buuuuuuut, as it stands, that's hideous.
  24. Just as long as it does not look like this. ? https://gmauthority.com/blog/2019/08/street-spot-black-and-gold-hummer-h2-belongs-to-alligator-ron-bergeron/
  25. Maybe they have come up with means of fitting batteries, electric motors, etc into a modified F150 frame...Rivian technology integrated w/ Ford hardware... But I don't know..on the hand, it sounds like the Lincoln EV SUV could be a reskinned R1S w/ a Lincoln interior... could a Ford pickup be a reskinned R1T with a Ford interior? Only time will tell...(Note, I'm OBVIOUSLY talking about a FUTURE FORD EV PICKUP, NOT the regular ICE F series). (wish I could put this in 36 pt font).
  26. OK- thanks for the correction. Always good to cross-reference!
  27. No; it was not 'A Tahoe'. And : That makes absolutely no sense. If you want to introduce a model that has the highest potential for volume, you introduce a pick-up. It's not a viable approach to introduce 10 SUV/CUVs at once in order to outsell a single pick-up line, just because.
  28. Google claims a g550 is 189-191”, and an H2 is 189”. Individual pickups FAR outsell any individual SUV.
  29. Is the literally exact same size g550 also a "huge full size SUV miss"??
  30. Cool, I am glad GM has finally wised up and installed switches for that on their newest stuff.
  31. EVs seems to do that inherently, so it'll be 'built in'.
  32. Gotta keep that tradition alive, man.
  33. Random news, we now have 3 quarters of diminishing GDP, virus and so much more. Yes, the programs that gave this country growth in 2017 and 2018 have wound down and now lack or leadership has us moving in the direction of a long overdue market correction / depression. I think this is where we will see many of the EV start ups go away.
  34. Seems we have hit the inverting yield curve to down indicating recession. Be interested to see what companies survive and what one fold in the auto industry. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/the-inverting-yield-curve-is-about-more-than-recession-this-time/ar-BBZu7bK?li=BBnb7Kz
