It's too late for ferrari & bentley- they're going to be discontinued because they don't have 5 SUVs. It's impossible for them to survive 1 more day. "small volume players that are part of a parent company" You mean like Acura???2 points

While I like my current Lucerne, I probably would take a 1st generation Aurora instead. Maybe. In fact, I saw a white late-90s Aurora in the last few days while I went shopping for groceries. Sorry, no pics.1 point

It's for the street. I would like to take it to the strip at least a couple times. There, I would use actual slicks. The issue with running it on the strip is; it's going to be too quick to run without a roll bar, and I refuse to put one in. Some tracks kick you out after 1 run under 11.5, others might let you do a few. I would like to know for sure what it'll do, so I'll have to look into that scene for the best scenario to run a few times sans bar. But for the street, pretty sure I'll need the contact patch these give me (315's).1 point

Ferrari has 0 SUVs, Lambo has 1, bentley has 1 Rolls has 1, maserati has 1, Tesla JUST added #2... how are these luxury brands surviving without 5?? Maybe acura isn't planning on carpet-bombing every vehicle segment and continually pushing for sales above all else. I mean, it's possible, you know.1 point

Funny... You keep on shytting on Cadillac from 40 years ago and look at today's Cadillacs through that lense. But here about BMW, you seem to defend BMW on shytting on its heritage and that BMW is NOT what it was 40 years ago... The thing is...40 years ago is what made BMW sell the amounts it sells today, but NOTHING it sells today resembles what BMW are. And you say that as it was a positive for BMW but a negative for Cadillac? The thing is...Cadillac does NOT make shyt cars anymore...there are NO Cateras or V8-6-4s around. WTF???!!! The thing is, Cadillac is actually building brand recognition. Ever so slowly. BMW is actually killing its brand image and you and @frogger seem to be ignoring that... Acura did the same thing Cadillac did and what BMW keeps on doing.... Acura killed its brand image. Its restoring it. BMW is not... Listen. It was fun discussing Acura, BMW and Cadillac. But Ive gotten bored by it. Its deja vu for me this conversation. Ive had it about Cadillac since the 1990s, and back then I was defending blindly Cadillac in the same blind way you and @frogger are doing with BMW now. Im moving on to other things... Acuras still bore me to death. Especially CUVs from Acura. CUVs in general. I guess you and @frogger could knock your socks off with BMW's super awesome X1s, X3s, X5s, X6s and now the X7...because sales talks and CUVs are soooooo much fun to talk about in so called enthusiast car forums...1 point

How about making it an occasion to travel and meet people in person? Southwest is your (our) friend.* * bags fly free This particular M.Y. looked a little bloated, with the rear wheel skirts, heavy mouldings, and way too tall rear fender slab. I've seen some pre-FWD ones that were more attractive, but can't pinpoint the specific years. I'd keep what it's in if it's a small block Olds V8. It's the early 4100 and the V8-6-4 engines I wouldn't want. The finest V8 purr is that of a newer (or perfectly maintained) stock small block Olds V8.1 point

Had a nerve test this morning for carpal tunnel and yup, need surgery. On the way there and back, it was an interesting normal mix of cars with lots of CUVs. What was so interesting was the Minivan segment. Those in Dodge, Chrysler, Ford or GM minivans, new or old drove with the speed limit or faster. Yet those in Asian brands of Minivans drove a good 5 to 10 under the speed limit and in the left hand lane holding up everyone else. The observation by my wife, they are all Asian and look scared to be driving, they give me a bad name. Yes my wife is Korean. Some might say this sounds racist, when in fact it is an interesting observation of a very conservative group of people that get licenses and yet do not seem to understand the law of staying right except when passing. I have yet to understand people that get on the freeway, move all the way over to the left lane and put put along below the posted speed limit in the passing lane. Driving is a privilege earned, not a right and yet we have so many terrible drivers out on the road clogging things up and right now the worst are the Asian mini van drivers. Just an observation. I did see a 70's era GMC pickup that was in pretty nice shape.0 points
