this is almost getting posts as fast as the camaro news ... can't wait till it's actually shown... but it'll be old news then, untill autorags start sending out their propaganda again
  2. well... guess the older engines will still have a steady flow of new parts just kindin... for the base pickups it seems to be a decent engine. the coil packs look funny though! keep up the good work Romulans!!!!

when do we think this will be shown at autoshows? naias 07??????
  13. nice recovery, from what i can tell, only noticed it last night and today. hopefully it'll never happen again.
  14. roflcopterz!!!!!!
  15. ditto
  16. well lets just say the car had the 3.3L in it that makes 235HP.... on http://www.miata.net/sport/Physics/06-Speed.html scrolling down, it shows a formula to approximate how much hp it's needed to go so fast, for a corvette, maybe it an early 80's one? anyway... it says so it has a 5speed auto (for the sonata) lets just say it's not totally impossible, but it'd have to stay on the road, obviously, at that speed.
  17. bad ground somewhere?
  18. http://www.media.gm.com/us/powertrain/en/p...20%28LZ9%29.pdf oh, it's refered to as a variable intake manifold
  19. the tech that gives the 3.9 that 2 hump in torque curveit switches from a 2 "tiered" intake for low end torque, and one for high end hp.... can't think of a better way to explain it, other than it's electronicly controlled or it would be a passive intake (nothing moves), like anything you can buy . can prolly look it up, but i'll see if anyone else cares to explain it, or just see who replys untill tomorrow
  20. is there any engine other than the 3.9 with the active intake? is there any proof or good rumors it's going to make it into more engines? side question... would that not do much if anything to inline engines power band?
  21. very nice write-up, stating, hopefully, any information that can be found in every CR and their reasoning why it's flawed hey , competition in this field can only be good news for us who dislike CR , or worse, might make CR look at how they do their stuff...
  22. nice, now it could totally blow the srt4 out of the water....
  23. have to be ls6... same as the pre ls7 z06
  24. and to all, that would be cool to see more of these types of ads.
  25. guess the 3.6 would be ~ 300hp, and a 3.0L?...making..closer to 230?, while hopefully giving it some more tourque over the 2.8!
