  1. The whole CAFE thing is pathetic and yet as you point out, the 500 and Dart are not lowering low Mileage footprint fast enough so I think this could be the last Hurrah for a big strong V8.
  2. If that picture is the DC100 then I have to say I like that look. Strong Solid looking SUV Brick. Interesting to see what the new body style will be for the Defender.
  3. 1) America exists in and of itself...and we are self destructive, allowing false perceptions and antiquated beliefs lead us killing our entire industrial capacity if it meant saving a foreign one. 2) The Toyota Camry outsells all other cars in it's class by a margin of 3:1. Being #1 only means that there are more POSs Camrys on the road in my effin way Well Stated, Lovely, Truly Lovely! +100
  4. SWEET That is one AWESOME Car! Truly American and Truly probably one of the last Big V8 sedans we will see.
  5. Very informing write up, appreciate it.
  6. For me, many know I am an SUV person, so the Platinum edition is my LTS or S class, 7 series, A8, etc of auto's. I still love my 2006 Escalade ESV Platinum and have come to really like the new 2015 models. I could see myself in a Purple ESV Platinum edition.
  7. I love the column mounted shifter but I could also enjoy the button or dial. I would HATE if they put in a floor shifter into the Escalade!
  8. Cool thanks for posting. Nice Truck. I think the GMC still looks better.
  9. Lewis black once said something to the effect that if politicians got any worse we would be voting for plants and rocks. Good to see that we are progressing nicely towards that goal. Meanwhile, let's hope he picks a Powerstroke as his next vehicle. Why, what is so wrong with a Cummins or DuraMax?
  10. Totally Disagree with you, my Trailbazer SS handles better than many sports cars.
  11. This is a hit for GM and will be part of a much bigger portfolio of family members. Just give it time and even the haters will love it.
  12. Very Cool and Lovely. Too bad you just did not upload to the web site as the pictures I cannot see from Flicker, so had to go out and see the news release to see the pictures. So the Platinum edition is a great bargain considering that they have not really changed the price for a normal Escalade or the ESV version since I bought my Platinum ESV in 2006. This is worth having!
  13. I like your list, but why not use some of the old names? Do you feel they have to much marketing baggage to do right by the auto?
  14. 99% of drivers just want something cheap, economical and reliable..they don't care about styling. Definition of a Lemming. So Sad So Bad.
  15. For me a Truck like this that is FWD is a non starter. Been in too many that had plenty of weight in the back and the front wheels spun too easily.
  16. I agree with Drews statement, I have talked with plenty of people about the VOLT and range always comes up as a concern. Then you talk to a VOLT owner ad they are always positive and love the auto. I think it is like anything else new and different, you have to get people into the auto's and get them to drive them.
  17. For some reason I thought the Thailand and Brazel version were mini pickup truck size. Will have to research this out.
  18. Just joined and updating my garage with my auto details.
  19. Ya know if GM is not willing to import or build and sell a mini pickup with diesel then maybe we should import the Thailand version and resell it here.
  20. DI ReGenerator would be awesome as those engines are perfect for refitting to allow CNG and then you really have a green Hybrid. I would like them to Shock Everyone by Introducing a 2016 Chevy Volt and a Volt Powered Equinox / Terrain FWD / AWD CUV's. That would really help sales I think.
