Just a bad wire
I found that when I hit electrical gremilins in my old 94 suburban back in 2005, I bit the bullet and replaced the electrical harness in the engine bay and that took care of it for me. I have though been thinking of replacing the electrical harness on the inside as I am getting flakey response from the electric door locks, electric windows etc. I bought the suburban new fully loaded and figure age and the moisture of seattle has just taken its time. I will say that the new engine harness was far better built than the old one it replaced.

Lexus News: Updated: Lexus IS Pictures Leaked
One can tell it is a predator mouth on a Toyota re-badge boring car. Even the engines are not exciting. What a waste of engineering money.

Ram News: 2013 Ram 3500 Now Tows Up To 30,000 Pounds
I hear some like things rammed in! But it is amazing that our HD trucks from all 3 companies seem to be hitting mid to full size semi class loads. I really wonder if that tow capacity is needed by users of trucks this size. But the Diesel War is on and I am excited to see the quiet Superior Duramax step up it's game against those noise making Cummins and Powerstrokes.

Detroit Auto Show: 2013 Nissan Leaf: Comments
As an inner city Luxury Golf Cart, why would you need those items, it is not like people actually will be cruzing and need to put on the cruze control so they can play with their stupid Ipad. Nissan is clearly looking to reduce costs to increase sales. I doubt it will help much.

Detroit Auto Show: 2013 Nissan Leaf: Comments
Still just a luxury Golf Cart for Inner City use. This does not make it a road trip car nor does any of the so called improvements justify the waste of millions on the so called EV Highway.

IMPALA DIESEL
something around 1 in 4 Passats sold is a diesel. Jetta is approaching a similar take rate. The limitation primarily being VW's production capacity for the diesel engines. And this take rate is with an engine that is noisy. I have yet to be next to a VW Diesel that did not knock and let you know it was a diesel. I really hope GM makes the Cruze Diesel whisper quiet.

Lincoln News: Lincoln To Stick With MK(Insert odd letter here) Naming Scheme
That was true for a very long time, but the new MKZ looks nothing like a Fusion, so hopefully that's the first step in finally giving Lincoln it's own identity with each subsequent model they release. I find the new MKZ very distinctive and appealing from the A-pillar back. I think the front needs some work, but it overall its great design and hopefully a sign of good things to come. Side Profile Screams Volvo to me. The Rear is truly a break and does not say Rebadged Ford. The front end is just plain awful IMHO. I agree that their whole MK........... naming system will end up confusing people as the 3rd letter does nothing to tell you if it is a car, CUV, SUV, Hybrid, Truck etc. I have come to the feeling that most auto companies have lost any common sense in their ability to name auto's with a solid market driving name and auto identity.

2012 Toyota Prius Four
Nice write up Mud! I will have to say when a person mentions hybrid the following comes to mind. Sardines, Coffin, Cramped, Sterile. Based on the pictures above, it would seem Toyota has done nothing to change my sentiment. I would love you guys to get a Volt and do a review on it and then comparison to the Prius.

Industry News: CES 2013: Audi Gets Its Nevada Autonomous License
While I personally will not want or waste my money on a self driving car at this stage of my life, we do need them. I have become so frusterated with morons who cannot stay to the left except when passing, drive 45 in the far left lane of a 60 zone and then ignor you when you flash them to move over for going slow. Good luck, I hope you come to market sooner rather than later to help out with the idiots who should not be driving.

IMPALA DIESEL
I would not worry about the public perception and acceptance. At this point it is a Marketing War and GM/Chevy needs to hit all the right Marketing Messages for the public and make sure to have plenty of press cars ready to have them test droven and written up. High Mileage So Quite you will not notice it next to you. Interior Build Quality #1 Personalization options for the cosumer Have a catchy Tune or Torque it up or something that not only leaves the press WOWed, but also gets the public to come in and see just how cool these cars are.

My Son had this brain storm of an Idea on how to tell what Asian he was for the day, so he had a friend photo him doing these faces and then he laminated it and gave it to my wife with a magnetic circle so she could put it on the fridge and decide what Asian he was for the day. So any of you have think which Asian you would be?

IMPALA DIESEL
Is the 4-cyl used in the Thai Colorado or is it the VM engine that never was (i.e. the one GM was co-developing for the CTS and that Chrysler uses in the Lancia Thema and the Euro Grand Cherokee)? Yes this is the one in the Thai Colorado, it is the more powerful of the two available. 250HP/406LBS getting in the 30's for mileage if I am reading the overseas spec right.

Seriously ugly-@ssed vehicles
Yes, and no resemblance in the design...the Aztek is all flat planes and sharp angles, while the Juke has a lot of curves... Butt Ugly Curves

Chevrolet News:Chevrolet Gets A New Tagline - Find New Roads
They need a global tag, but one that actually tends to strike home more. Take one home to the Family! Choice of Familes around the world! Exploring New Frontiers! Chevy, Breaking Barriors! Cheverlote, Breaking Bounderies! I think we need to spend some time working on a Global tag line and then submit them to GM.
