LA Auto Show: 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600: Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
Amazing at how depreciated the market is for Maybach auto's http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/Maybach/Mountlake+Terrace+WA-98043?endYear=2015&makeCode1=MAYBACH&mmt=[MAYBACH[][]]&searchRadius=0&showcaseListingId=0&showcaseOwnerId=0&startYear=1981&Log=0 I would hate to buy a half a million dollar car and a few years later it is worth a quarter of that. Agree with Balthazar, they should have revived some older name that has not been used in a long time and retire Maybach for now.- 14 replies

AWD on the Soul would be cool -
Alaska USA is offering 3.75% on 72 months for auto loans. Awesome down payment, but Finance some place else as 5.9% is terrible.

LA Auto Show: Cadillac ATS-V: Comments

CALLING BS! Yes many here think Range Rover is superior off road and yet I know for a fact that My Escalade ESV Platinum has gone off road in places where Range Rovers are said to be able to go and yet I have never seen one and I do find more Range Rovers stuck on passes in snow, yet this is probably due to stupid run flat performance tires and the idiots not knowing how to drive, but Escalades are more than up to the task of going off road. No it is not a true 4x4 but then the supercharge over priced over rated Range Rover is not either and I doubt you would find someone taking their $100K SUV mudding. Range Rover has some cool technology and in real off road trim does well but then so does any of GM's true 4x4 units. I have never seen a Range Rover on the Rubicon trail, but I have seen Tahoe's and Yukon's. You want creds then get Range Rover to really play in the 4x4 space rather than show off an Engineering spec sheet of what it supposedly can do.- 46 replies

LA Auto Show: Lexus LF-C2 Concept: Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
Interesting design language, not a fan of the Predator mouth, but I can see this as a Production ready version just awaiting the Green Light from Executives. The Dash seems to be the new 21st century simple dash with everything via a touch screen. I could get used to that. I do wonder about all these auto's including Tesla that have gone to the single touch screen to control everything. If that screen goes out, does the whole auto stop working, how does it affect the auto?- 3 replies

G. David Felt Alternative Fuels & Propulsion writer www.CheersandGears.com GM Sued by Arizone The case is State of Arizona vs General Motors LLC, Case No. CV2014-014090, the Superior Court of the State of Arizona, County of Maricopa. Arizona has come out stating that the Reborn GM is not innocent but a wolf in sheep's clothing. The state attorney general has stated that GM hid all these defects and continues to hide behind the bankruptcy. Arizona states that with 60 serious defects affecting 27 million auto's on the road in the US, that they need to pay 3 Billion Dollars to Arizona for Defrauding their consumers. Arizona wants $10,000 per violation for every auto since their consumers have been driving unsafe auto's. What are your thoughts on this? http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/arizona-sues-gm-saying-it-hid-safety-defects/ar-BBeNLsG?ocid=ansnewsreu11

LA Auto Show: 2016 Honda HR-V: Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
WOW, could you make this any more forgettable! I just do not get Honda's lack of design language or at least building something that will stick in a persons mind. Yet I am sure the ultra conservative people will love it. -
Great point, would love to get feedback from some of the stronger engine heads here on this also. Course very possible that GM did this on purpose to allow the 3rd party peeps to sell upgraded tuner chips that gets you 300HP and near 500lbs of torque.

LA Auto Show: Cadillac ATS-V: Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
Actually this could very well happen as Cadillac pulls away to be more independent. There is nothing that says Corvette which is Chevy has to be the top supercar in the GM family. Cadillac is where this should happen and I can see it happening.- 46 replies

LA Auto Show: Mazda CX-3 Crossover: Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
This is why we have variety. I would have to put Chevy, Honda, Toyota, in this same bland forgettable design language. Glad so many here are happy with Mazda, I just do not find it appealing nor desirable. Now talk about GMC, they have some Awesome design language auto's. Terrain is a true standout that I hope in it's refresh keeps it's distinction. Back to Mazda, I admit I missed the point of having a control wheel for the screen which is what has removed all the buttons. So this does speak to 21century technology to try and simplify things. I hope it really works out as BMW and MB systems seem to be terrible IMHO. -
Awesome first initial response to driving the VOLT. Thank you!

LA Auto Show: Mazda CX-3 Crossover: Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
This is boring when they all look the same and no differentiation between models other than size. This is a Lazy mans way of just cookie cutter cars in Ultra Small, Small, Medium and that is it. To QUOTE: Put the CX3 next to the CX5 and you will be hard pressed to tell which is which other than size. -

H'mm it has LOST it's edge. I loved the original and the remake of this but now they just seem to keep curving out the lines and turning it into a Jelly Bean. Sad.- 5 replies

Love the Rear Spoiler, talk about some great down force at higher speeds. Over all very impressed with the auto. Just wish it would be big enough to fit Shrek comfortable enough for road trips. Still it should sell very well.- 46 replies

Perfection to some I guess. Interior is Bland Boring and comes off as Cheap to me. The center stack looks like it is missing stuff. Exterior just does not work for me. Nice that they have a long hood deck but over all the product line all looks the same and just blends in with the auto industry trend of generic disposable appliances. I could not recommend Mazda to anyone. Bland, Boring un-inspiring! -

I like the interior much better than past models. Exterior is fine but blends in with every other CUV out there. Nice but does not stand apart from the pack.- 5 replies
