  2. Well whatever you do, don't go to Finger Lakes casino at the racetrack...its tiny, cramped and sucks in general...Take I-90 east and go to Turning Stone Casino....spend 300 bucks there....it'll be more fun and its 18 to gamble there
  3. don;t run a motor flush through it...it'll eat through your seals, I learned that the hard way....also I have a 3.8 liter motor, it runs great. 3.8 will last a hell of a long time if taken care of. BTW My 79 Delta 88 is the car I ran the flush through and started leaking oil from every possible location not too long afterwards. My 1995 Riviera has the 3.8
  4. I am having a similar problem in my 1979 Delta 88....tell me....does your tailights go out completely as well as turn signals etc? and if you press the brake, your instrument panel lights?....lol....mine does
  5. uh XP....I use 87 octane in my Riviera and it runs fine for me....and I bought it when gas was 2.40 a gallon here just a few months ago....and about my Delta...again its a car I took off the road due to many reasons, and a big one is the cost of gas in a car thats getting around 10 MPG...and my restoration will not be a ground up body off frame job either.....it'll be mostly drivetrain related and some cosmetic and interior....and will likely become a weekend car or be passed down to my child when I have one.....And I really don't need to justify to you my purchase of the Riviera....you can't compare a 3800 lbs car with a V6 and a tiny supercharger to a 5000 lbs truck with 4 wheel drive plus a 10 gallon bigger gas tank with a V8 in it. and if I could actually fit and be comfortable in a smaller car I'd get one....and if you're gonna get a Riviera, at least get a fully loaded one, with the sunroof, heated seat, memory seat, lumbar etc....and supercharger.
  6. I love the last generation Park Ave's and the revised grille and chrome wheels and ventiports look awesome on this car....I cam close to buyin gone of these before the Riviera....and actually I may still buy an 04 or 05 in 5 years or so. And I agree Sixty 8....a Park Ave on a B-body chassis with a V8 sounds sick What about the current crop os small blocks, would they fit in there? Perhaps Northstar
  7. I just don't understand the need to have a car with a 30 gallon gas tank that gets 13-15 MPG with gas prices nearing 3.30 a gallon....I think its nuts, and when the prices continue to rise....people will blame the automakers for gas guzzlers...when they have no reason to stop making them because people are still eating them up....I just think its a never ending cycle....I love my Delta 88 but that thing drinks gas like it's going out of style and I'm starting to dread the thought of restoring it for that mere fact alone...My father always told me "I bust my ass to live, support my family, and make ends meet. Theres no need to waste money on pointless things" I agree with that to an extent....you can get room for seven in old B-body wagons....you don't need a 5,000 lbs station wagon on stilts for that
  8. I never knew the second Gen Aurora was originally a replacment for the 88, LSS....very interesting....and BTW my 1995 Riviera is whitewall free
  9. Gas prices get so high, people stop buying SUV's and we see more and more cars on the road again? My reason for asking this is because my fiancee love Denali's and says gas is not an issue for her....and I think she's nuts!
  10. I hate Porsches with a passion....they're too small, ugly, and they all look the same generation after generation.....I've never been a fan of them...as a matter of fact, I'm not a fan of any supercars....whats the point, you can't go 180 MPH around here anyway, one you'd be killed by some kid in a riced out Civic not paying attention to the road and two you'd be in jail and your car sold off a auction
  11. I wasn't around during the crash, what exactly took place?
  12. I'm sorry but for nearly 60 large....as I said before....they should be painted....as it stands now they look cheap....really cheap and not worth my money...I'd rather spend less for a Tahoe if this is what I can expect from the 900's and spend that money saved on a Denali and get the damn door jambs an everything else painted. This is nuts, these are GM's bread and butter and they're getting a little skimpy with the butter
  13. I'm the resident drug addict then....I've been smoking pot for 10 years, did cocaine for 2 years straight, did X before and painkillers....plus I drink....All I do now....is smoke Newports and a joint every now and then
  14. yeah thats definetely not a 442...looks to be a Buick or Chevy
  15. Nice work Sixty....lovin' the pics, any Oldsmobile's there?
  16. Interesting news...I think the Caliber and it's Jeep siblings are ugly as sin...but then again, bold looks are in and smiley faces are out(Neon)
  17. The engine compartment isn't fine....on a truck this expensive they should paint the damn engine compartment, door jambs, frame rails, fan shroud, and everythikng else on this thing....That is nuts....my 27 year old Oldsmobile's engine compartment is fully painted as well as the door jambs and trunk
  18. Very cool pics guys...as an Olds owner I am so pissed I missed this No Delta 88's?
  19. Full Italian
  20. The tailights on the Camry look like the one's on a Civic Coupe IMO...anybody else notice that?
  21. I told my Riviera today that is was whore for taking $57 bucks in fuel
  22. d'oh...I'm used to Service Engine light
  23. Do you/have you ever had a conversation with your pride and joy and if so, when was the last time. I did today with my Delta, gave him a little pep talk to keep his spirits up until the restoration begins
