I'm still really curious about this. I can't imagine it being large enough for a real surf board. It just doesn't look that large of an opening but I absolutely love that they're utilizing that space. That and the frunk are two huge reason EVs should take off eventually. Once automakers learn how to really package them better I think that should be a huge advertising point.

I had to look more into it as well but here's a video of it. It seems pretty real. https://vimeo.com/301410788 I also found the cup holders in the video.

This is still a concept.. I think saying this isn't a crap product should hold off until there is at least a rolling product with doors and a cup holder.

Super smart people don't necessarily make the best business people.. Just sayin' education doesn't equate to a successful company.

Well if you're taking this picture that serious, the headrest is almost touching the roof so you're screwed. Maybe you don't know how the word "fact" works but that is the complete opposite when you don't have any hard numbers or anything provable. I can't imagine this being any roomier than a half ton truck from the D3. Look at how narrow the center arm rest is.. It's absolutely smaller than a Silverado, Ram, or F150.

You can tell absolutely nothing from that picture of how roomy it actually is.. But it is an EV so I would only expect you to assume it's God-like.

I've never really understood the issue with that.. Even non-boosted cars, if you're putting your foot into it you get bad fuel economy.

No state inspection here either and my oil change will be about $30 and that's actually probably what I'll do on Thanksgiving because we'll have a nice weather day, about 55 degrees. What do you mean when you say "big filter"? Do you use another filter with the same threads and gasket that's just larger? If so, why?

It's just weird they would actually come out and say this.

That sucks. I don't know if it is still taught in schools here or not. If you're willing to pay 3k for your child to learn to drive in inclement weather just pay for them to take a professional driver's course and let them take whatever is cheapest for the laws. Here ya go. https://winterdrive.com/classes/safety-classes/

MID 40k FOR ONE OF THEM?!?! There are some higher mileage ones "near" me for around 20-25k. They are all the I5 though. I can't imagine how slow that vehicle is. But it looks awesome and I would absolutely drive one. -

I don't think Cadillac is on the level of the other three brands. The other three are marketed sooooo poorly. -
Which means the schools or DMVs will need a snow covered plot of land somewhere pretty much daily which also means why will own said land.

100% agree. I get it but I think it's terrible. -

Reading up on them because they would be badass to own.. I think they did offer a 5.3 in the latter year(s). -

I can't even find the GMC commercial right now that I think is terrible. They compare the strength of an ant to the strength of the Terrain.. WTF? https://ispot.tv/a/dmOe -

They don't market anything properly. Chevy, GMC, and Buick have the worst auto commercials by a large margin. Cadillac commercials seem quite good though. -
I don't know what number you're picturing but I'm thinking easily millions per year per state for states that aren't considered "northern". It might be easy to use but we're talking about a football field's worth of snow probably twice a month..? Maybe once a week? You can only cram so many people onto the course at a time and only so many parking lots that are even available to rent and especially if you're talking about owning that much property. My driver's ed course was a semester in high school with a once a week driving session but I also had my permit at the time so I was driving with my parents. I know driving is a privilege and not everybody deserves it but 2-3k is too much for a lot of families or kids, especially when the kids needs a license to get a job to pay for the stuff. You're basically saying the parents should fork over 2-3k. This just does not seem feasible.
