  1. While I completely agree with you there is also something to be said about a truly "luxury" vehicle that isn't looking directly at profits. I agree that FWD-based is completely fine for these vehicles, I just don't think looking at profits is the best way to look at it. Sometimes your ROI might be a generation or two away as you're building their image. Right??? That's about the only thing Lincoln has done right in the last few decades. The thing is, none of us know what the cost is of these vehicles. For all you and I know that 41k XT5 only costs GM 25k while that 50k GLC costs MB 40k. It could very easily be vise versa as well. Point is, we don't know.
  2. GLC is RWD but the GLA, which is what I think you meant, is FWD-based.
  3. Thanks guys! This was the big 3-0 for me...
  4. Yup. The're both pretty ugly.. The Chevy looks much better with the chrome bar body color as it seems to hide some of the nastiness going on around the headlight/fender area.
  5. The Super Dirty is a hit or miss to me. Some trims it looks really good and others it looks tacky and almost cheap for how much truck you're getting. This reminds me, I'm really intrigued about the new HD's from Ram and Chevy.
  6. They are very generic but I definitely do not see anything ugly about them. I think they are simple and clean looking and that alone is attractive. They're not trying to have bends, creases, swoops, angles, scoops in places they're not needed just for the sake of putting them there.
  7. That's like saying the Prius is the boldest hybrid... They're both "bold" in the same way.
  8. I would not. Ram and F150 look soooooo much better than the Silverado.
  9. This is definitely something that should be an option on S Classes and probably standard on Maybachs(of course your choice of colors and patters ;) )
  10. I thought this was the LC500... It should probably be an option on that car too.
  11. Holy smokes are both of those beautiful. I would absolutely take that leather package if I were to be in the market for this car. Do true GT's really get much better than this?
  12. At 6'6" there probably isn't much space behind you in any vehicle, lol.
  13. He said about 75% of his work is engineering but I guess when you're putting in 100hr weeks that still leaves a lot of time to work in day-to-day operations. Did you sell off your Tesla stock upon seeing that image?
  14. This was actually the first thing of his I ever listened to. I was impressed but I could feel the awkwardness at times with his pauses and his "laugh".
  15. I said the same thing when I first saw it. That alone made everything else look worse. Move that up or down or ANYWHERE BUT THE MIDDLE OF THE BUMPER. That seems like it would be the ideal size. It isn't so much the size of the windows when I sat in one as much as it was where you sat in relation to the windows. The driver seemed to sit so low it made the windows feel even smaller. That's not with @dfelt sitting in the driver's seat! I'm glad it isn't because who takes their kid out places in their pajamas?!
  16. In the interview he said he's only smoked weed a few times. I think he worded it as "almost never". I don't know how he does it either. I actually really enjoyed the interview because he really is just an insanely smart guy. You could tell he's a socially awkward person but he's a genius. His companies come about when a genius has money to follow through with their ideas. Weed isn't federally legal but it is legal in the state that he was in so I don't see the issue with it.
  17. I said nothing about "brand" and just the two individual items, ATS and CTS, don't sell well. Compared to their copmetition, they don't. I know I know, "THEY DON'T OFFER THE VARIATIONS THE COMPETITION DOES." I mentioned those two vehicles because if GM decided to make a RWD Chevy sedan it would very likely be one of those platforms stretched or shrunk.
  18. Would the same picture been taken had he drank a beer? Both are legal.
  19. I know what you're talking about but this would be on Alpha and I don't see any conceivable way that this would be priced enough below the Cadillac siblings to sell. Is this SS going to be ATS or CTS sized? The trunk pics were of the Mustang and Camaro. As @Drew Dowdell would say, they're priced against each other targeting the same market of people. That's why they're compared. Was that the 90's-00's with the 17ft front overhang?
  20. Yeah but wasn't that mostly direct orders? It's hard to hold sales against something like that when most can't or won't see one just sitting on a lot. The problem with the stereotypical "enthusiast car" is they're expensive. We want a V8 and we want RWD. Those combinations already narrow their customer base down to about 3/4 of the United States before anything else.
  21. It's called the ATS or CTS already. They don't sell well.
  22. And my point was that picture was taken 100% out of context by people who don't like him or his company. Just like politics, somebody can be slandered with one poor picture taken at an awkward timing. If you watched it, that is absolutely the worst possible picture that could have been taken. He literally took one hit. He didn't just sit back and light it up and look like a jackass. People who wanted him to look bad, made him look bad.
  23. Yep, the Durango as well. I'm not much of an FCA fan but what they do have, sells pretty well and they're pretty good vehicles.
