I get it because if they can start making more cash from the CUVs it can fund the coupes but it sucks they aren't here and haven't been. When was the last time they had two coupes at the same time?

Yeah but is it that much to cut up an ATS and/or CTS for a premium selling price? These are luxury vehicles and a convertible option is definitely a luxury that all of their competitors offer. I don't expect them to have a bunch of convertibles offered in all of their coupe offerings but it's still odd that they don't have even one. I don't always think it is about the sale of the vehicle itself as much as it is getting somebody to the dealers' lots. If somebody drives by a lot and sees an ATS convertible and goes and checks it out but ends up in a coupe or sedan.. yeah they didn't sell a convertible but they got somebody to stop and look at their products.

There are definitely 2010-2013 Grand Sports available under 50k miles and 08-09 Z06's available with under 50k miles as well. '08 Z06 '13 Grand Sport These are just quick finds but there are both that can be found with either more miles and 30k or less miles and over 35k but there are plenty under 35k available. Both seem like hella performance for the dollar.

I just now read "base" in your description and I think if it was a base C6 I would take an '18 Mustang GT over it.
-
This is tough between the Vette and Mustang.. for 35k I assume that'd be a Z06 as well? If it was a Z06 it would be difficult to pass up compared to a Mustang GT. If not a little older Z06 the Grand Sports are plentiful in the sub 35k range. I don't recall what all makes a Grand Sport but I bet it has some good sports car goodies.

Yeah, I don't really understand that either. They have a Camaro Convertible so why can't they hack up a ATS or CTS into a convertible?

They do the same thing just with different brands instead.

Drew made it sound like it is stupid to compare the ATS to the C Class.

In all fairness, when it came out it was absolutely a direct competitor to the 3 and C.

What size is that, again? Is that X1/GLA sized or X3/GLE sized? Or, more than likely, is it in the middle? lol

Wouldn't the sideways engine also allow the dash and everything move forward some as well? Isn't the tunnel much smaller for exhaust than the driveshaft & exhaust though?

lol I won't disagree with that! The buying public, in general, is just the complete opposite of what most enthusiasts want. Too bad they outnumber us 99-1 and most enthusiasts don't buy new because they know the depreciation and that they don't keep them long enough anyway.

It is yet nobody really seems to care. The buying public is okay with the softer rides of the A4, C-Class, and 3 Series.

I love the JGC and Edge-sized vehicles. Larger, two-row SUVs.

I don't WANT Porsche to hand Tesla their ass but I think it's going to happen. I'd prefer the US company to come out on top.- 19 replies

Well, until then, it's a lame duck on any race track that isn't a drag strip. There's no denying the capability and their straight line acceleration. But, they're not there yet, at least Tesla isn't.- 19 replies

Wow. 3 whole minutes of spirited driving before she doesn't want any more of it. My Focus could take on a Model S if they're only competitive for 3 minutes.- 19 replies

What track test have you read where they're comparing them to ICE cars and doing better? They probably only have 1 maybe 2 hot laps before needing to cool and charge up.- 19 replies
