Remember, he's also said the Bolt is extremely roomy Didn't diesel pumps have to change their nozzle for non-commercial vehicles? Do you know when this was? Weren't they huge to pump fuel at an incredible rate but they were too big for "regular" vehicles?

I truly believe there will be an excuse why not for the next 10-15 years.. 'There's just none that I want.' 'None fill my needs.' Apparently the Bolt does everything PERFECTLY..??♂️ I think they have that pre-packaged for you already.

That's actually the only thing that looks wrong about it, to me. I think the rest looks satisfactory for a smaller car. For better or worse, it puts off a little CLA vibe in its overall shape.

Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Review
ccap41 replied to cp-the-nerd's topic in Product Questions and Reviews
^ That is what replaced my Extreme Contact DW's. I like the grip of the DW's but they are not a very quiet tire. They are very noticeably louder than the OE ContiProContacts.- 9 replies

Dodge News: 2018 Dodge Durango Pursuit Joins the Force

They aren't because they have a minimum they "need" to spend. Tax payers should care about the money though. I'd rather the money go towards equipment or gear that they'd use rather than tri-zome climate control and trailer sway control along with the V8 over the V6(which is more than $100). And that's fine. I'm not asking for crank windows but 2 things that just seem incredibly wasteful to pay for are the V8 and tri-zone climate control. I know there will always be vents in all three rows but I guess the way that's worded it feel like they can each be controlled individually. -

Oh boy, what did they ever do before having tri-zone climate control...? ? -

Makes sense for Dodge but less so for the people buying them who don't need those additional costs. -

Those all sound so got damn unnecessary in a vehicle like this. Also, as a tax payer, I think the 5.7 needs to not be in this. They can't and aren't chasing people anymore and it's a 3 row SUV, there's no need for the extra power when 300hp in the V6 isn't weak. 295hp,18/25mpg 360hp, 14/22mpg ? -

Ballin' is exactly what this is. Also, HUGE! I never would have guessed this is actually longer than a Navigator. -
No sht you don't have to sit there and wait. But, as i pointed out, they aren't located near shopping centers or places that are remotely convenient so sitting there is all there is to do. Regardless of them getting bigger a plug-in hybrid is the sweet spot for me. Apparently my town added 1 which is 1 more than a year ago.

Because I don't have to sit at said charging station for 30 minutes to finish my days' worth of driving. AND they're also mixed in between shopping areas so you don't have to go out of your way and if you did have to, you could leave your vehicle there to charge while shopping around. The only times it isn't inconvenient is charging at home, which in all honesty, would be the majority of charging anyway. That comes back to just wanting a realistic near-300 mile range ALL year, not just the month in the spring and month in the fall where it isn't freezing or 95 degrees.

Yes, I most certainly have looked up charging stations and they're ridiculously inconvenient still. My town, there's one at a public area that I don't just go hang out at and the other one on the map is pointing to a roundabout(?).. there isn't one there. Next places I don't go to hang out just got the heck of it are banks, city halls, movie theater, or a parking lot that is away from places I would be shopping at anyway. Change in mindset is different than inconveniencing us. i just think it is worded like a political news broadcast where they're making it sound way better and nicer than it really is for their personal agenda, making EVs sound better than they are.

That is such a stupid way to put that. That's also why they're so inconvenient. If you actually need to charge away from home, it sounds like a huge pain in the ass. What kind of realistic range is 30 minutes of level 2 charging getting you?

Honestly, It's not uncommon for EVs to lose 30% range in the winter and that 150 mile theoretical range is now 105. That's too close for comfort for me.
-
Only the Bolt and Tesla can cover that easily, if my memory is accurate. They have too large of a difference between possible range and realistic range when using heat/AC in the winter and summer months and interstate driving isn't optimal for them either.

Next generation Escape wit supposed plug-in hybrid could be a money spot for me and possibly you if they offer it with AWD. Hahaha I know I was just being a big-ole-smartass.
-
They really are, assuming that is. I've been in modern Odysseys and Siennas and they're incredibly nice with boat loads of room. When I worked in a shop we actually had a tougher time lifting modern vans than anything else just because they're so damn wide now.

What's California's population compared to the rest of the US? Sounds about right.. California is 12% of the us population so all we need is probably Oregon and Washington and that'd cover the 20% that want to buy EVs. Okay... That's only about 15.7% of the population still..

Not a pretty car but it seems to do its intended job quite well.

BMW News: 2019 BMW M5 Competition Offers Slightly More Performance
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in BMW
AWD and computers make up for a lot of things. These things sprint to 60 in 3.1 seconds and to 124mph in 10.8 seconds. Weight isn't slowing this thing down much.
