  1. See, I just don't like the rear overhang on wagons. If they were cut short by just a foot(or even like 8 inches) and they looked more like a "conventional" hatchback, I would love them. Instead, the added length just looks boring and unattractive.
  2. So isn't it a decent idea?!?
  3. What can I say, I love hot hatches!
  4. Right?!?! I couldn't believe the review I read that said it was like 39XX lbs. I'll try and find it again. That was easy... C/D X1 xDrive 35i test
  5. Yeahhhh.. but it's a tiny CUV which is just odd to me. I either want car-like or at least a little larger CUV. X1's are small. Something even smaller than that is ridiculous. This all came to mind two weeks ago when an X1 passed me on the interstate and I was amazed at how tall it WASN'T. Then I looked them up and it is only 3 inches taller than my Focus hatch. So if I lowered it a bit.. boom, hot hatch! It'd be a tad larger, more power, great chassis.. but they weigh like 3900lbs LOL.
  6. This is pretty random of myself but lately I've been wanting an X1 xDrive35i and to lower it. It would basically be a hot hatch with 300hp and AWD working on the last great 3 Series chassis, E90.
  7. They sure can pass those other two up. They just have to start with the small things. Start by making the most reliable vehicle, hands down. Do what Toyota and Honda have done and build a reputation for being indestructible. They can then go from there. They know how to make a car handle with the best, if not THE best. They have engines to hang with the best, albeit their middle tier isn't really the greatest in comparison but they're getting there with the 3.0TT. They have the money and resources to make the best interiors, they just haven't yet. If they're going to price their stuff along side the Germans they better do everything at the very least, as good as the Germans. Get rid of the old man XTS also. That rental car doesn't help their image at all.
  8. I'd prefer ICE only but that isn't exactly the most realistic thing to ask. As for adding electricity to its propulsion.. I think a full on EV would be best. Do it like a Tesla and make it performance oriented. Don't do it for efficiency's sake. If they're going to put electricity into a sports car the best way to get the point to the people that electricity rocks is to make it quick as sh!t.
  9. Better than the Chevy but worse than their current Sierra. That's also just some rendering, right? That's not official?
  10. Couldn't agree more. I'm glad Lincoln finally realized this and they're just doing themselves now.
  11. Completely agree. Ford is just the one who talked publicly about it. With GM having the Volt/Bolt powertrain they should have something really good cooking. I assume the one in the Tacoma is also capable of running work tools and such? Not just charging a phone, lol.
  12. No waaaaaay none of those offer chrome wheels from the factory, chrome door handles, chrome mirror covers... The Escalade is definitely blingy.
  13. I wouldn't expect anything else from you.
  14. Yeah, my bad on the typing.. 'z' and 'x' are right next to each other... *face palm* And I agree. They shouldn't be compared but some like to look strictly at output and say one is superior to the other and this XJ220 has a higher output V6 than the new Mercedes sixes.
  15. Definitely! We know Ford is working on a hybrid F150 already, right?
  16. I mean the ZJ220 had a twin turbo V6 back in the 90's making 542hp.. That's a great reason why you looking strightly at output isn't always good because your I6 Mercedes engines will take a back seat to a nearly 30 year old car.
  17. These fake AMG cars aren't real AMG cars either. They're watering down the brand with that crap. Ehhh I think it is a bit of a stretch saying it is THE BEST 6 out there. If you're just talking straight numbers, which it appears so if you're claiming the 1.6 in the hyper car is the best, then the Ford GT's needs to be up there along with the Raptor/Navigator's. That is if you're just talking horsepower and torque, which you likely are.
  18. Sorry, I was just looking at msrp's from manufacturers. The BMW also wouldn't be 60k if it's used but MSRP's is kind of the easiest way to compare prices. There's a milllion more pieces to a vehicle outside of the engine and transmission that can fail and everybody who isn't biased knows previous generations of VWs weren't known to be the most reliable vehicles. That doesn't mean the engine won't last 3 lifetimes though. X5 35d with the air suspension would absolutely do the same comfort cruising.
  19. IMO, there's nothing a about a Touareg that says, " Buy me over the competition" And for 60k I'd just rather the BMW. I know it's strictly preference but the TDI Touarge is pretty old in comparison and is coming from a generation of VW's that don't have the greatest reputation for reliability.
  20. What's their tow rating? Nvm, I looked it up. It's not enough.
  21. Cadillac. Hatchback. ? INTEREST PIQUED!
  22. Probably the same reason they're moving to the I6 configuration. Back then, V8's sold in most every model so a modular design there paid off, economies of scale with V8's. Now that V8's are dying and everything is downsizing a practical move is to move their bulk engines to being modular with each other. Hence, I6-I3.
  23. I don't know what the F*** is going on with the front end but it looks terrible. The tailgate/rear looks fantastic though.
