Buick News: Whoops! Buick Canada Reveals Existence of V6 for Regal GS

I feel similar with modern turbo and DI technology. I know Drew has driven a looooot more than you or I but I've always felt very very minimal turbo lag but I've also needed about half the downshifts than I would had it been a n/a v6(talking about my 2.0T in my Escape)- 80 replies

lol true.. I hate when I say I'm just looking and then they ask about payments.. BITCH! I JUST SAID I WAS LOOKING! I also just usually walk around when they're closed.

Same here. I don't think I've ever enjoyed my experience at a dealership unless I was going just to "oooo and ahhh" at something w/ no intent to purchase. Those are the only times I don't hate because they'll never yank me around as I'll tell them I'm just looking.

Buick News: Whoops! Buick Canada Reveals Existence of V6 for Regal GS

@Drew Dowdell and I have talked about this before.. those dyno graphs you're talking about are full throttle only. We're talking about daily driving in regular every day circumstances where you'll likely never need a full throttle input so those graphs are kind of null. With that said, find partial throttle graphs and the conversation can continue. Until then, it's Drew's personal preference and no matter what you or I say we won't change his mind on a opinion. It's just an opinion. That's probably because everybody has a tune on them, we're talking about a performance car site. Drew does own a turbo 4.- 80 replies

Yep! Dealers asking 100k for GT350's is just fckn insane. HA! And I thought 100k was bad.. @dfelt, straighten your people up.. GT350 (non-R) I'll give them a little itty bitty bit of leeway as it's a 2015 and only 1 of 137.. but not at this price. 100k GT350. Dealer is fckn nuts asking 100k for a car with 173 miles on it..You know those are abused miles on a car like this. Just more LOL Ooops, I mixed those last two up... Ehhhh only because it's necessary.. You'd only notice that on a race track/drag strip. In all seriousness, I love the look of fog lights and it missing them is actually a little disappointing.

If dealers mark them up an insane amount they will eventually sit and get marked down.. There are some on autotrader that are marked down a decent amount. 2016's which(I'm assuming) were marked up to the moon and never sold because there aren't enough idiot customers willing to over pay.

Buick News: Whoops! Buick Canada Reveals Existence of V6 for Regal GS

There are ways to spin a turbo constantly to create no lag. It definitely costs fuel to do that though. It's one way the GT keeps its turbos spooled up AND gets abysmal mileage. I believe there are also electronic ways to spool them. I also don't really know how you feel so much lag in these small turbo motors. I've felt next to none in the couple I've driven. At least nothing you'd notice in daily driving situations. I've never stood on the pedal and felt like I was waiting any amount of time. If anything I was waiting for a down shift before hearing the turbo spinning.- 80 replies

My NEW.. 1966 Chevy Impala SS

I think that's a good size to go with. Could be a little wider if I'm being picky. It's funny reading offsets for completely different vehicles as I'm looking at wheels myself and the offset is +45. +8 literally would not fit in my wheel wells. They'd be sticking out like 3 inches, lol. -

And C/D's Civic "Sport" 180hp/177tq with a 6-spd got to 60mph in 7.0 seconds and through the 1/4 mile in 15.2 seconds... More power, no CTV, slower time? WRX is kind of a hybrid competitor with these guys as it's a compact car with balls but it's AWD and a couple grand more. About the ST.. Reading the latest review over at C/D they mentioned it was the slowest of the 4 they've ever tested(assuming 4 different years since introduction or whatnot) and any Escape's with the 2.0 all tend to get slower after their first year testing as well. Are Ford's getting heavier as they age or what's slowing them down? I swear I read 2013 Escape 2.0's running 15.2's and I think I remember the 2017 one tested was like a 15.6 or 15.7.

On the color again.. I love how dark it is. At night, it probably looks black already. Then you get some sun on it...and the color comes out to play.. I love that color. -

GREAT looking Impala, Casa! Honestly, I also love the color it is now. I wouldn't change it either. It's a great color of the car! I also think the wheels on it now look almost perfect for the car. I dig the American Racing wheels but not the STS ones(for this car) at all. 17" (great size w/o being too big or small on this car) Torque II's would look bad. ass. Keep us updated and MOAR PICS! -

People also aren't knocking doors down to get to the Alltrack either selling 1400-1700 per month. The Crosstreck sells but this obviously is not a competitor to that. + People would probably want a wagon if they made a good looking wagon...like what was pictured.- 43 replies

That cladding does look terrible... I was going to say just paint it but even then they'll still stick out a little more than I think they should. uhhhh there is no plstic cladding around the wheels in his picture which make a world of a difference.- 43 replies

VW News: 2018 Volkswagen Atlas To Begin At $30,500
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
Oh I'm not even talking about ride or any of that stuff as I've never driven them. Just looking at both weak n/a v6 numbers in 4500-5000lb vehicles. I'm just not much of a fan of n/a v6's. But if the trans in the Atlas is anything like the DSG then it's got to be class leading. But it won't be a DCT. Is this a transmission that's in something else already?- 26 replies

VW News: 2018 Volkswagen Atlas To Begin At $30,500
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
Definitely, I feel the exact same. The V8 is what attracts me the most and to get it w/ AWD is at least like 44,600 or so. I've honestly never looked that far into them as nothing that large has been on a buying list. Agreed about the engines though, anything below the 3.5EB doesn't seem worth it but saying that makes the VR6 sound not worth it either when looking at the number similarities. I wish the Highlander looked better.. It looks old but not in a good way.- 26 replies
