  1. So I think I have my list but I just feel like I'm leaving something awesome out.. 2000 Cobra R - Probably never driver her.. just admire her rareness. GT350/R - all out toy. Sundays, tracks, stop lights, interstates, you name it. It'll be abused. C63 sedan - 1 of 2 daily choices. Probably the more fun of the two. '70 GTO - cruises, 'nuff said. Sierra Denali, Silverado High Country, or Raptor... 2 of 2 daily driver.
  2. That is an absolutely gorgeous CLS! I gotta work on my list now...
  3. My lone issue would be dealer access for service. I have a Chevy dealer about 3.5 miles away and another probably 20 miles away and a large handful within 30 miles in any direction. Tesla..Uhhh..probably one MAYBE two in the Stl area but definitely none on this side of the river so that's 35 miles to cross the river then most likely 10-15 miles past to actually get to a dealer so that's roughly 50 miles to a Tesla dealer. If I'm buying a brand new model, which always tend to have a few(be it minor or major) issues that a dealer will have to get their hands on to replace or fix.
  4. Yeah production cars all have 1spd transmissions as far as I know. Not exactly sure how or why..I should look into that. Now I'm curious why not more gears.. I mean less rpm means more efficient..right..? Obviously the rpms aren't used quite the same but you'd think it could be made more efficient with more ratios. Just thinking and typing at the same time. Lol
  5. http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/videos/a28405/the-fastest-street-legal-electric-car-is-a-chevrolet-corvette/ Sorry I couldn't make it an active link from my phone aaaaand I realize this isn't an OEM car but I think as long as they can keep a manual trans in electric vehicles they can make good enthusiast cars without petroleum.
  6. I posted an electric corvette build a month or two ago that still used a 6spd tranny. I believe they set a record for top speed for an electric car or something. I'll try and find it.
  7. Looks really sharp blu! I like it!
  8. Maaaan I noticed that too! I actually took a couple of screen shots when they were doing the donuts and it looked like that front end was a foot off the ground. I'll try and post it Monday when I can add pictures(can't from my phone)
  9. "Maybe we should hold off on the S Class Sedan Coupe"
  10. I have the same stupid button on my Escape.. I hate it. I like the option to downshift in the rare situation that I want to be down a gear but it's never to hoon the car. It's also inconvenient because I leave it in D but to be able to switch gears you have to shift to S THEN use the super mcduper cool switch(sarcasm).
  11. I've been waiting almost 30 minutes for the fckn squat rack at the gym and its pissing me off.
  12. The only time I use mine and I've said it here before(probably in my Escape thread) is when merging onto the interstate. And that is only on the longer on ramps that wil bend and twist a couple of times so you get up to about 45-50mph and hold it until you can acclerate more. Well my Escape will see that as "okay, we're staying at 50mph..6th gear it is" Well I'll hold it in 4th or 5th just for that little section then once I'm up to speed I put it back in regular "drive". But I completely agree with you. Once you use it a few times you realize how it is more inconvenient than practical and just leave it in D.
  13. Yes, typical on-the-cheap Asian market truck where they cram the extended cab and crew cab on the same wheelbase.. Okay, making sure it wasn't just my eyes. It looks overall, terrible. But honestly, not all that far off from looking good. The biggest thing to me that that wheelbase issue.
  14. They're only competing because they are both electric though, right? That is literally the only thing bringing them to comparisons.
  15. Is it me or does the wheelbase look awkward? Like.. the rear wheel needs to more back some.
  16. Ya know.. for some stupid reason I didn't even think of the CTS-V..
  17. Raptor get your daily duties?? I love the list though! I would only want the Ferrari in red though..
  18. 2016 E63 AMG S I added the "night package", illuminated TriStar, and one other thing that I don't remember..I think heated rear seats.. Whatever it was it was just to bump up to the price limit. This is what the "night package" is. It blacks out the front and side skirts and I think it looked great. And my interior.. As always.. Black on black.
  19. I'm just trying to load my pictures... It'd be tough to pass up an E63 S.
  20. I watched this..last week..maybe,, and it was awesome. Go 'Merica! I don't really remember it all of the top of my head but I recall a massive discrepancy in value INCLUDING the interiors and standard features that the BMW just lacks.
  21. I'm talking about the places that are nearly an hour from a WALMART. Like the super rural areas..in mountains and such. I don't see places like that converting to anything very well yet having to buy a vehicle that is electric is crazy to them. I just think it will be a difficult transition period for the 1%(probably most like 0.1%). Then these people also need mechanics but the mechanics are also in the boonies and have never worked on anything 2010 or newer...
  22. I'd also like to say that with an auto I definitely want a "manual" ability and I'd rather it not be a stupid button like my Escape's, but a button vs paddles wouldn't stop me from buying it, just a preference.
  23. When will we get to see this?!?!?!?
  24. It really depends.. as my daily I think I'm done having a stick but as a second car I ONLY want it to be a stick. I find early in the morning or at night I'm tired and I don't feel like shifting, then comes the traffic or little bit of city driving I do and I don't want a stick for that crap. ^ What Molty said! I'm actually "going though" that situation now(friend is looking to buy, not me) He wants a Tiguan(for whatever reason) but his vehicles HAVE to be a manual. The only way he can get that combination is for a super stripped down one. You can't get a manual trans in the most common engine/interior packages.
  25. I really wasn't trying to target any particular car, as my E90 M3 CRT/GTS and 458 Italia Speciale are off limits, too. I was just trying group cars with a 'large' displacement engine together. The 4.1-4.9 cars are kinda 'tweeners. Yeah, that 4.X really is tweener engine size. Dang.. I do love me some 458 Italia.
