2017 Jeep Compass Replaces Two Models With One: Comments
daves87rs replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
Dang, and here am I worrying about one......Funny (but cool! ) Looking to do the same thing, as I would like to see Europe and certain places in Canada in the future here. Figuring on a new family truckster (Nox, Escape) updating heaving on the current DDs, and tinker with the Cav. then just replace the DDS as they go......- 27 replies

Not going to make a difference anyways...expecting a chinese company to pick up Jeep for a song, junk the rest and just use the tech that they have picked up... -

Agreed! As long as it can still take a beating off road, then all is good....- 27 replies

Might go well as a winter beater....throw a good set of all seasons on it! Heck, they make pretty solid family sedans...

I guess I could agree with that...as I can see people puling their weekend toys with them. I'm guessing my thinking is that I would use it for off roading and camping..makes for a fun weekend!

Yeah..plenty of truth there....you know my son is getting into cars now...likes to stick nose into it too when I work on mine....might just be a future car guy... Kinda scary how well you know me...lol.....I do like them simple! I have been meaning to drive a new civic....as I have heard the new ones handle quite well. Also one of the reasons I loved the Focus, but sadly the trans just doesn't hold up on either side.....Sad-because I love when they handle well! (One of the few reasons I loved my wife's old 95 Neon-you didin't have to stop while making 40 mph turns!) Now I'll have to test drive one.....

With FCA getting rid of some models already, it might actually come this time! I could see it having a chance here in the US....

My thoughts on it... Baby Escape (not a bad thing since I like the new Escape quite a bit) Coming built from India (why Ford, with these tarted up should pull a nice profit here in the US) Though my gut tells me Ford is either treating this like an A) Fad or B) Risk because they are not sure how will do here. With the way it looks, people are going to be able to do things with this thing..and having friends overseas who are laughing that folks will try to put this trucklet to use here...It is TINY. Great for grandma or a trip to the mall, useless for anything else....
