  1. Dare I say you might want to stick with the truck here? I just test drove a Trax, and while it is kinda nice, my old 93 Cavalier wagon felt bigger than this thing. One good thing that it does have going for it is that it is nice to be higher off the ground. You might change your mind after a few Lowes runs in it....I'm not even sure how it would do for camping.. It's one of the reasons I will not go smaller than the Nox/Escape in size, because you can still do more in it. These still remind me of my ol' s 10's size, still useful, but handles better than the big ones. Pretty sure I could get better use of a cruze sedan cub scout camping than a Trax.... Besides, if small cars continue to stay down for a while, you might even be able to add something like a sonic to your fleet for everyday driving.....
  2. They are still nice cars....
  3. I do agree here.....and it has a clean look that will age well...
  4. A few comments I'll add: #1 3rd shift was not going to last, even the workers should have known that. The only way they were going to last is if they were replacing retiring workers (like my dad). Even then there is still going to be cuts at plants like D-Ham in the near future as well.... # 2 I expect the cars mentioned above to continue to decline, as the CUV/SUV is making a nice comeback.... # 3 Due to some forethought by GM, I expect the Cruze to lose some money for a while. On top of the fact that sales are down, back in July GM thought it would be a good idea to bring up some production up from the AP plant in Mexico to help out. Well, guess what-they are now here on top of the Cruzes not selling, and more are still on the way. So, there will be a Glut of them for a little while. While it's not going to really hurt them, they are going to have to put some money on the hood to move them. This, on top of the hatches also on the way from Mexico.... Now # 3 might change my mind about getting a Nox/Escape if the price ends up right, as I do like the Cruze, but not the price......
  5. Great pics!!!
  6. Pretty sure these would be my exact choices as well!!!!
  7. Cool!!! Get the feeling it's going to be a wild week!!!
  8. shocking!
  9. I'm not sure they have to worry about anything but speed here...
  10. Ah, another waste of money on the way.....
  11. Pretty much the truth my friend! Bought to pick apart and use, then dump for money. You know things are heading south when most of your workforce in MI is temp to hire.... Yep! Now that is a fleet!
  12. Kinda old news, but I also assumes some of the rumors I've been hearing-they are not going to do much more (FCA) to most of their products until a buyer/partner is found. Most of the money was going to their one major moneymaker, Jeep. Things at FCA are going to change soon....
  13. Already figuring that is what is going to happen anyways....they will be lucky to hold on to dodge at this point.... While Honda is pretty smart with production, I still think at some points even they are going to run into some issues with glut... Glad to see GM making some money, but I find getting what I want is a struggle. Looks like Ford will give me what I want though....
  14. Yep, don't buy the turbo ones! Kinda sucks because my wife really likes these. Though, I could always grab a base model if we really wanted.....seems to avoid most of those issues.....
  15. Look at the CUVs go! Wow!
  16. Interesting that the Cruze is still doing okay....even at it's higher cost. Can't be too fooled though, as my local dealers only have LT models that they lease, nothing else. Downside of that is going to be the resale when the glut comes back....... Besides the Impy, things are looking good there. It will take Caddy a little while, but those numbers will climb too......
  17. Yep...though I agreed with ya.... Also not sure how Jeep's luck is going to hold out either, starting with these new smaller CUVs....
  18. Sad, because I like those models too.... Hoping they can lure folks back in with good deals.....though I still wonder how many VW owners will take the buyback-a buddy of mine still plans to keep his car......
  19. Well, when your so called compact cars are now selling over 20k easy and nearly 90 percent are leased, should tell us something...
  20. INterested to see it now......
  21. Big question here too is going to be price....
