  2. Oh no, there's nothing gay at all about being attracted to something big, burly, and broad-shouldered. :AH-HA_wink: I wonder if they meant the 9-3 SportC ombi instead of the 9-5. I know this probably isn't the most reputable site out there for car buying tips, but even then, I just can't see anyone giving an award to the 9-5.
  3. Blue?
  4. That's a shame. Too bad you don't have $10,000 worth of cars sitting around that you could sell . . . .

    Oh my God...

Only for elementary school. But I think the teacher's spelling is more of a giveaway, using "to" instead of "too."
  6. Chicks with Cheneys? Chainies? Chains? Is this some sort of S&M thing?
  7. Pale and natural is infinitely better than a crispy tan from hours in the tanning bed, IMO.

    Best City Car

Very true, but usually those people are ones who are at least fairly comfortable economically. And has anybody mentioned GM's hybrid buses? Or even non-hybrid buses.

    Best City Car

Or yuppies who are rich enough not to care about the extra cost . . . .
  10. I don't know about having a hood ornament on most models, but I definitely agree that the whole gigantic grille emblem thing is getting out of hand. It's especially troubling when the badge won't even fit in the grille: Hood ornaments are nice on some select models these days, like Jaguar sedans. But I think you'd have to look all the way back to the 1950s to find the last time that the number of cars that looked good with hood ornaments wasn't a small minority.
  11. I went to a car show today, got a great haul including a few never-before-seens, old and new. There were several 1st-gen Camaros, a few second, plenty of Sting Rays and Stingrays, a few Mustangs, my favorite of which was a white '69 Mach 1 , several classic trucks including a Studebaker Champ, a De Tomaso Pantera, a boattail Riviera, an MG, and even a Honda 600. I was tempted to put it in the trunk of my car and take it home with me. As far as new stuff, there were only two real ones of note. There was a gray Solstice, the first I've seen, sitting appropriately beside an immaculate red Fiero. I must say, the interior looks much better in person than in press photos. The other was a Noble M12. Wicked car. All in all, a very good day. I really wanted to kick myself, though, because I forgot my camera. Oh well, some other show, some other day. I did get a pic of the 600 on my camera phone sitting next to a Monte Carlo, though. That car is so ridiculously tiny!
  12. well, maybe 30 years ago, when they had different engine options, but yeah, kind of dumb today. . . . BS statements, huh? The one that sticks out most in my mind occurred in '03, when Ford came out with a new Mach 1 Mustang. I went to the dealership to check one out, and the salesman saw me and came over and started talking about how much fun he used to have driving his old '68 Mach 1 (For all you GM guys who don't pay much attention to the blue oval, the Mach didn't come out until '69.)
  13. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that, like many groups, the most visible members of fraternities are the ones who give it the worst image. The guys who wear boat shoes, polos with popped collars, shorts that reveal more than anyone wants to see, and the identical 40 year old haircuts just scream "douchebag" while the rest just sort of blend in to the crowd.
  14. wicket
  15. Even if you decide you don't want to join a frat, participate in Rush week. A week's worth of free food and parties is well worth having a bunch of frats hounding you to join their societies. Just be careful, though. One of my friends got rush raped. They got him really drunk, took him into a back room, and made him sign the application to pledge. Fraternities aren't my thing, though. Even the ones where I really like the guys seem to be too centered around an alcohol society. I like to drink occasionally, but not three or four nights a week.
  16. I can see the headline now: "Man Arrested for Strapping Toddler to Back of ATV"
  17. Pantera (definitely NOT bread)
  18. Does that entail lawn makeovers? Or do you just think BBL and Camino aren't fully showing off their natural beauty?
  19. pea
  20. Ford Mustang
  21. Yes, actually.
  22. Hey come on now, show some respect. He's a flamer now. None of that gay rainbow crap!

    Rich People

No, I'm not trying to convert anybody here to communism. I'm just expressing my happiness at going to school in a town full of people with more money than they know what to do with. Why? Because, there are certain people in this world, who, upon breaking one mug, decide that their entire set of dishes is now no good for them. Then I can get the whole set of dishes for $20 at the local thrift store. It even comes with a sugar bowl and creamer cup! I have no idea when I'll ever need a cup for creamer, but it certainly is nice to know I have one around.

    america

What's wrong with America? The answer is simple. Oversimplification.
  25. Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister of Russia. They've regressed a lot under his leadership.
