Which do you like better or think you like better?
I've lived in L.A., Bay Area, Sac, and Central Valley, and my preference is anywhere without traffic. California has something for everybody, from backwood hick town to cosmopolitan metropolis. I would prefer to live in a blue area, but that is where the bad traffic is. San Diego is nice, but the traffic is getting bad. I think San Luis Obispo is ideal because it's centrally located and has great weather.

SPY SHOTS! 2009 Pontiac Vibe
I liked the current Vibe and would have bought one if it came with a decent engine. The new one looks promising.

Update of cars owned (43 as I can remember)
It's been 3 years since I've gotten a new vehicle, but I'm not feeling the urge this year to get anything new. I still have the same old Prelude, IS300, and Silverado. 1984 GMC S-15 Sierra Classic Club Coupe (V6) - slow 1987 Acura Integra LS - fun! 1991 Acura Integra GS - not quite as much fun 1993 Nissan Pickup - basic but reliable 1994 Honda Prelude Si - great handling for FWD and a great everday beater 2001 Lexus IS300 - needs another 50 hp but smooth I6 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora 4.0 - modern American luxury, but an oil leaker 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LS - big, bulky beast sits in the garage

The Future of Pontiac - Autoweek
I'd like Pontiac to be all RWD (with optional AWD) as the poor man's BMW. However, aren't Pontiacs disproportionately popular in Canada, and would this march to RWD hurt the brand up there? How about GM giving up all brands in the US except for Chevrolet and Cadillac, and maybe GMC. Market everything in Canada as a Pontiac, and everything in China as a Buick.

Another car
Congrats on the Aurora. It's still one of my favorite cars. The V6 doesn't give up much performance over the V8 because of the lighter weight, and I'd venture to guess that it would be more reliable too.

Buick and Lexus are tied for reliability
Good news for Buick. Common thread among most of the highest ranked vehicles were that they were near the end of their builds, when most of the quality bugs should have been worked out.

New Toyota AE86?
Toyota made numerous sporty cars in the mid-'80s, including the Supra, RWD Celica GT-S, RWD AE86 Corolla GT-S, and MR2. This was when the high-revving 16-valve four-cylinder engines were just taking off. The AE86 has a cult following, and I'd welcome its return.

DeLorean plans afoot to go back into production
I was a fan of the DeLorean before it was put in production. I liked the Giugiaro design, and the stainless steel panels were like the roof of the Eldorado Biarritz taken to the next level. When the company went bust, Pete Ellis Dodge in L.A. got a bunch of them to liquidate for cheap.
