  1. Or one being driven around the Nurburgring... http://www.racingflix.com/getvideo.asp?v=1181

I wouldn't say its terribly proportioned... just differently. Eventually many cars will share it, and we'll get used to it, in the same way cars of the 80's had vertical greenhouses, small wheels, and long trunklids. I'm sure there's reasoning behind it... long hood, short decklid cars with beltlines that lower to the rear wheels usually suggest brute force and muscle, constant acceleration, like it's shooting forward... ... while short hood, long decklid cars with beltlines that lower to the front wheels suggest hunkered down, mid-engined nippiness... Many find the G6's proportions awkward because its different... perhaps the bodywork doesn't match the proportions.
  3. The introduction to GT4 (the one with the white Ford GT) is pretty astonishing, too. Too bad the actual in-game graphics aren't as good.
  4. <_< The Solstice wins.
  5. Wait... so it's against the status quo to go with the status quo?
  6. That's the case with most mid-engined sports cars... it's nice to know the G6 has something in common with a Lamborghini Gallardo.
  7. Strange... I'm in LA, was in OC yesterday, Yosemite last weekend, and Las Vegas the week before, and I see significantly more 300 rentals than LaCrosse rentals. Thrifty and Dollar only rent DCX products, and I can't imagine them offering just the Sebring as their largest sedan.
  8. Not exactly fail-safe, but the turn signals on new BMW's are of "trigger" design, and through iDrive, you can set how many blinks you want per lane change, so they don't stay on forever if the driver is too busy Bluetoothing.
  9. Seems like Holden's styling identity is just Opel's.

I love it... but then of course, I like the ION, too. This, however, will probably be good to drive.
  11. Hopefully this draws more attention to global warming and its dangers...
  12. Quality is pretty horrible, but oh well... http://media.putfile.com/sixteen From 2003, I think.
  13. Wonder why... I believe the new RWD DCX cars don't sell any better than the old Intrepids, 300s, and Concordes.
  14. Filled up for just $2.79 a gallon today, which is cheaper than normal. Seems like CA isn't affected by Katrina.
  15. The Solstice looks like a car you'd use to pull up in front of a hotel... except that when the bellboy asks for your suitcases, you'll have to hand him a pair of trousers in vacuum-sealed plastic bags. Pontiac might as well offer a glovebox-mounted iron to smooth out crinkly clothes.
  16. You could probably get them for your Cavalier, if you changed the bolt pattern. Check TireRack of American Tire.
  17. It'll be hillarious if the VUE Green Line, with its simple alternator system, will get better real world fuel economy than the Escape, with its complex full-hybrid system. Edmunds averages just 22.3 MPG from the Ford, and 22 MPG from the Accord Hybrid. Is the GM alternator system similar to Honda's IMA?
  18. Stats tell very little about overall handling performance. The TL was probably aided by its limited slip differential. It got a "7" for handling. The 9-3 is FWD, too, by the way. This is pure speculation, but did Lexus send them a non-US-spec ringer? I don't think the new IS is on sale yet. Edit: Oh, thanks for the link, but that is one crappy forum. A "330i" with "dubs"?
  19. Car and Driver rounds the scores for each category. The grand total, however, is the sum of unrounded points, rounded at the final tally.
  20. It kinda looks really tall... but at least it isn't gigantic like the 300. A midsized RWD car makes the most sense, IMO.
  21. (What's interesting my dad pointed out was that at ASIM, the generators were all Hondas.)
  22. I'd buy a new GTO, get rid of the hood scoops and be done with it.
  23. I think both look good on the outside and terrible on the inside.
