  1. The Dart had issues but it did have potential. I don't think we are ever going to see a full passenger car lineup from Dodge again.
  2. Yeah, i would like to see that! I can't see why you would pick a Honda over a Jeep product...in my mind, if you are buying an AWD vehicle, might as well get some 4WD goodness and competence... Subaru Forrester would be also a very nice pick ahead of the CRV.
  3. Thanks to both you and Frogger for rational informative posts...
  4. Hopefully not the Impala...one of the nicest products GM currently makes. That Cadillac looks awesome in white! Of all of the GM cars that need more love around here...the Camaro... I am really starting to like the side profile on it.
  5. I love your list! Nice to see some love for pre war Iron on the part of you and Olds Hurst. Can't fault a single choice, love the GT350 R.
  6. Escalade Platinum is an extremely nice vehicle. Strangely enough, I ahve seen a bunch of late model Luxury SUV's doing pedestrian jobs lately. At my favorite lumber yard, gentleman was loading up a $100,000 plus Range rover like it was a Dodge D150...asked him why he was loading a $100,000 plus SUV like that and the gentleman said he had three of them...the other two were for regular use... Helping my friend Steve rebuild his deck, was picking up lumber at Lowes Sunday and a late model Escalade had ladders strapped to the roof and the gentleman driving it was picking up building supplies...politely asked the gentleman why he was using an Escalade in that manor and he replied that it was his wife's vehicle...my wife would string me up for that...! Left work today for a medical appointment, dropped back by my office before going to look at a side job...on the way back here, saw a late model Navigator delivering pizza in one of the poorest neighborhoods in town...(no kidding!)
  7. My compliments sir, for choosing a GM vehicle to do so....I will buy Beer (or wine, IIRC you prefer wine to beer) next time I am in Pittsburgh... ...and thanks for posting that image...I am feeling better about life and believe it or not seeing that old Cadillac made my day! Make that two drinks then...three if you trade in the CRV! I would buy a GMC 4WD pickup in white with a diesel/towing package... ...and I would buy a nice AMERICAN made Airstream trailer to tow behind it...!
  8. Agree completely. For what he was given, and what he has produced...pretty much a dismal failure...
  9. Fair enough....do you have a better idea other than Humor and Sarcasm to deal with the issue in our midst?
  10. In all reality, there are cars other than the Mustang and the Civic that I might choose. What I am going to do when I replace the MINI is kind of up in the air actually...
  11. One wonders if the video will surface here at C and G....Apparently photographs of Amelia Earhart captured by the Japanese ahve surfaced...everything comes to light eventually.
  12. Fair enough! I think a big part of it for me is that the Challenger, Mustang, and Camaro ahve been around since the late 1960's/early 1970s....I remember them from my elementary school days in the early 1970's... After 45 years, I find myself mentally and emotionally ready for something different.
  13. We will see what will happen... And yes, VW lacks a rational marketing plan for the North American amrket, and Europeans do not tend to prefer American cars. My only point was it was not absolute, there are exceptions.
  14. That makes sense, a lot of people cannot drive a manual. The type R is growing on me...I take back what I said earlier...i do think I would take this over a Mustang GT.
  15. People love them though-co worker just picked up a silver one, i think its probably the favorite vehicle this guy has owned...and he is 52 years old...
  16. Agree completely with everything you say.... Especially seeing the Type R in person.
  17. Don't worry, SMK will find you a 175 K Mercedes that is as nice as a 45k Challenger...
  18. It pains me to do so but I will give them full credit on the Truck lineup.
  19. Focus and Fusion are both kind of dated and unappealing....
  20. Flint is obviously not the only city in Michigan with a high lead content in the drinking water....that's all I will say. One wonders what happens when ones Corporate Overlord/Employer/source of worship and wonder finds out one has been praising the competition... Methinks those porn videos that show a painful caining or paddling might be a pretense of things to come for a former member..
  21. They did really improve the CRV-and like I said in the other thread, I have changed my vote-I would now take a Civic Type R over a Mustang GT.
