  1. The irony is he will be buying an early production model of the Bolt at some point and doing a concourse restoration..and then towing it behind his 12 mile per gallon Escalade to shows.
  2. Seating position in both is rather agreeable as well.
  3. I think that product would help them quite a bit, actually.
  4. Audi has a fantastic styling vibe, I think.
  5. We can hope the Giulia does well, it is a nice looking automobile.
  6. Personally I think they would do better pushing small crossovers.
  7. There are likeable aspects of both the Edsel and the Lexus though.
  8. Agreed on them needing a purpose, it just seems like sunk costs to me. If they cannot turn a per unit profit, they can sell 2 million model 3 automobiles and it will not matter.
  9. That is actually pretty good thinking. But it assumes that Nissan could not add said things to current lineup. A lot more brand equity in the Nissan name than the Mitsu name.
  10. Long term cash flow is the issue here I think not how innovative the company is or how much we like their cars. We all like Tucker, and they were a very innovative company, but we see how that worked out for them. In all fairness Tesla has gotten a lot further along than Tucker ever did.
  11. In either case, learn to drive that thing...word is owner of the new Green jeep with the manual here at C and G can be a little bit lost in the bush sometimes...
  12. Not sure they are capable of undercutting GM by that much, that seems the stuff of fantasy.
  13. It is a charity venture. They turn zero profit...the more cars they sell, the more money they loose.
  14. So we loose money on every sale but make up for it in volume... Here I thought only people South of the border had a problem with inhaling the wacky tabbacky.
  15. He did refer to it as his new ride... Yes the shaft is very short...
  16. Wildly over priced on the stock exchange.
  17. ...and yet everyone for some strange reason sees Tesla as a good business model...strange...
  18. Exactly how I took it.
  19. OK, we gots some smart folks here. Let's just see how good ya'll are when it comes to problem solving. I'll let you mull over the answers to the below test for a couple of days, publish yer answers, and we'll see how smart you fellas (and gals) really are! I'll publish the answers this weekend and we'll see how close ya'll got. Engineering Test 1. Calculate the smallest limb diameter on a persimmon tree that will support a 10 lb. possum. 2. Which of the following cars will rust out the quickest when placed on blocks in your front yard? A) 66 Ford Fairlane 69 Chevrolet Chevelle C) 64 Pontiac GTO 3. If your uncle builds a still that operates at a capacity of 20 gallons of shine per hour, how many car radiators are necessary to condense the product? 4. A pulpwood cutter has a chain saw that operates at 2700 rpm. The density of the pine trees in a plot to be harvested is 470 per acre. The plot is 2.3 acres in size. The average tree diameter is 14 inches. How many Pabst Blue Ribbons will be consumed while cutting the trees? 5. If every old refrigerator in the state vented its charge of R-12 simultaneously, what would be the decrease in the ozone layer? 6. A front porch is constructed of 2x8 pine on 24-inch centers with a field rock foundation. The span is 8 feet and the porch length is 16 feet. The porch floor is 1 inch rough sawn pine. When the porch collapses, how many hound dogs will be killed? 7. A man owns a house and 3.7 acres of land in a hollow with an average slope of 15%. The man has 5 children. Given the average traffic loading of secondary roads, how many people will swerve to avoid the truck before it crashes at the bottom of the mountain? For extra credit, how many of the vehicles that swerved will have mufflers and un-cracked windshields? 9. A Coal Mine operates as an NFPA Class 1, Division 2 Hazardous Area. How many generations will it take before cattle develop two legs shorter than the others because of grazing along a mountainside?
  20. HEALTH QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true? A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap. Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables? A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products. Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake? A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up! Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio? A: Well, if you have a body and you have body fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc. Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program? A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you? A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!!. Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you? Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle? A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach. Q: Is chocolate bad for me? A: Are you crazy? HELLO ...... Cocoa beans ... another vegetable!!! It's the best feel-good food around! Q: Is swimming good for your figure? A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me. Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle? A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape! Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets and remember, "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - strawberries in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming - WOO HOO! What a Ride!"
  21. One year, I decided to buy my mother-in-law a cemetery plot as a Christmas gift... The next year, I didn't buy her a gift. When she asked me why, I replied, "Well, you still haven't used the gift I bought you last year!" And that's how the fight started..... Saturday morning I got up early, quietly dressed, made my lunch, and slipped quietly into the garage. I hooked up the boat up to the van, and proceeded to back out into a torrential downpour. The wind was blowing 50 mph, so I pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, and discovered that the weather would be bad all day. I went back into the house, quietly undressed, and slipped back into bed.. I cuddled up to my wife's back, now with a different anticipation, and whispered, "The weather out there is terrible." My loving wife of 5 years replied, "And, can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that?" And that's how the fight started...
  22. Not surprised to see MINI in decline, I think their day has come and gone.
