  1. Pretty much have to agree with everything here. QFT actually not a bad idea. Modern diesels are fighting emissions issues, though.
  2. Ditto! And is far better as an actual real world haul your friends to a basketball game, tow your boat, haul camping gear SUV as well.
  3. Someone is ghost writing for reg...the ghost writer is spot on. Umm...yeah...right... This thing makes your CRV look hot enough to f#@%. FTFY.
  4. Don't tell reg, who I love like a brother but would cross the Pacific ocean in a leaky rowboat to harass...but I have had dark and terrible thoughts of a lancer ralliart joining the fleet.
  5. Again, moving target. Look at that Malibu and impala. Impala is class leading, Malibu is so so. Chevrolet needs a much better car to compete with the fusion, chryco once again is wildly behind the curve.
  6. One wonders if the automotive world would be a better place had we not bailed chryco out twice. I am not a political conservative...but in their current state, having let them die, handing the profitable Jeep brand off to someone like GM who had the good sense to run it properly, and giving the whole mess a proper burial...seems entirely rational.
  7. Considering that the new impala is an infinitely better car than the 300, yes, they need execution....extinction would be preferable, but we will settle for execution.Alfa is a sports car brand, and aside from the Corvette, sports cars sell in tiny numbers. 370z, miata, boxster, et all all sell under a thousand units a month in a fantastic month. Fiat/chryco will never, ever develop an effective BMW fighter. They do not have that ability in their corporate DNA.
  8. methinks the world is ending. Once again I am forced by ethics and logic to actually agree with reg...but he is absolutely correct in what he is saying.
  9. The problem is that they re shooting at a moving target and everyone else has gotten better as well. Jeeps, trucks and minivans are fantastic. Regular production automobiles leave a lot to be desired IMHO.
  10. You have to be patient with Chryco, they are going through tough times. Drop your expectation for the brand from anything other than Jeep, honestly.
  11. You would be correct, Drew. The Soul is also a rolling clown car of sorrow, just like the Fiat 500, Renault Alliance, and the 1965 Wartburg 311 Sport.
  12. I have driven the dart, nice car, but unimpressed with the audio system and the fuel economy.
  13. Fusion is really the class of the field for mid size....an accord sport with the slick 6mt and sweet handling is just 22 thou. Would buy an impala in a heart beat, but could not justify the current Malibu. Passat TDI would also be preferable to the Malibu.
  14. The Impala is an amazing car. If I swung for four door family cars, I would own one in a heart beat.
  15. Your stoned off of your ass if you like the Kia more than the Jeep here.
  16. Their latest batch of stuff has been very reliable.
  17. As much as it pains me to actually agree with reg on Suzuki... He is actually right.
  18. Golf is bringing out the MK 7.....but not sure why they are doing what they are doing. I still want a MK 7 GTI though....
  19. Amen to that...and they are turnign record profits. I like Subaru and Mazda MUCH better as Asian carmakers than Honda and Toyota. A lot of what made Toyota and Honda good in the first place is present in Mazda-Subaru, and no longer present in Toyota/Honda.
  20. Subaru has no trouble with their excellent CVT transmissions, but then Subaru is orders of magnitude better than Chrysler-Fiat in their engeneering and vehicle assembly operations.
  21. And the Sonic is infinitely better than both the fit and Mersa..I mean Versa.
  22. Sounds like she could use some love...keep us posted.
