  1. http://forum.ohioscions.com/showthread.php?t=11766 You may have to register to view, subject is in the "parking lot" area of the forum. Topic is NSFW OS members and their dirty secrets Here in Ohio, perhaps the dumbest thing I've ever seen on an internet forum. 21 year old woman puts nude photographs of herself on the net, puts a link to the pics on the automotive forum sig line, and then gets mad at guys for looking at/enjoying the pics. Interesting discussion follows. Methinks maybe a few of these people will need to upgrade to an Avalon to be able to watch Jerry Springer! I'm not making fun of all Toyota/Scion owners, but this one is none too bright. Hope the link works... Chris
  2. Delco filters are really good, I've run them on every GM car that I have owned... Chris
  3. I don't think that was reg, unless it was his sock puppet. Chris
  4. Depends. If you were a 23 year old just out of college with your first job and needed reliable wheels the Fit would work out great. Esp. if you lived in an urban area... Esp. if you were perhaps female... And esp. if you didn't want to drive a Yaris or Versa or some other crap box. Chris
  5. Bingo. The Fit is the quality of the small car GM should have been building all along. Methinks things will get interesting with the Focus and the Fiesta.
  6. It's more than just the drive, my friend. I admitted the Genesis Sedan and Coupe are both great cars, I just like the CTS better. That being said, again the Genesis is leaps ahead of the Amanti. Hyundai is becoming a company to be reckoned with. Chris
  7. GM'slegacy costs over a thirty year period are what killed them. Every $ they had to spend on bennies and so forth above a reasonable level was a $ they could ahve spent on product or R and D or plants. It's not like GM had bafoons running it. GM could make money with Hyundai's cost structure. But I will give you that Hyundai has very good management. We just can't say that all GM management are dunces and all Hyundai management are geniuses. Chris
  8. No Fram junk for me! Chris
  9. Today I am going through the Miata, probably bleed the brakes, lube the hinges, check the chasis bolts, do a manual trany gear oil change, change the oil in the diff, and replace a burnd out headlamp. Wife's car get's a good cleaning and the gear oil changed in its manual. Chris
  10. No, I can't either. Unless we add the possible cause of demons or fairys or some other bs that makes no rational sense. Even running the car into a concrete divider at an angle under heavy braking would have eventually slowed the car down or damaged it enough that it wouldn't prograss forward. Chris
  11. Hyundai doesn't have GM or Chryslers legacy costs or older plants or other issues. Once again, WTF is your point? Chris
  12. Reasonind by idiotic analogy won't get you anywhere. The 11 year old probably couldn't build a plastic kit car from Wal-Mart, much less a real car. GM is building some fantastic cars and selling them in the worst economy since the depression. And your point again is what exactly? Chris
  13. Dind, Ding, Ding, we have a winner. Chris
  14. The CTS is IMHO one of the neatest cars of the post WWII era from any continent, be it Asia, Europe or the US. The Genesis sedan doesn't even come close. The Genesis is night and day better than the Amanti, but so is a Schwinn in a rainstorm. Chris
  15. You'll probably hate this idea, but google "clown shoe coupe" for the BMW 3 series. They are really kind of funky looking, but very different. One of the guys in one of my car clubs has one, really kind of a neat car IMHO. But again, maybe more my speed than yours. Chris
  16. Corvette is an order of magnitude better in the suspension department when driven hard. I love the GTO, but I really love the idea of a C5 Z06. Esp. since Camino has already had a GTO. Chris
  17. I think perhaps the Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus will help the domestics sell more small cars in Import happy areas. Getting a bad feeling about the Cruze, looks good...but not sure it's going to turn the marketing tide in GM's favor. Toyota does really well in the south, I lived in Atlanta for a year and a half and Toyota does really well there. They are also picking up in the Carolinas where my parents live. I would love to talk to a really good marketing insider who knew why certain cars sold well in some areas and not in others. Chris
  18. Depends. Germany France Great Britain Japan etc. a lot of countries have more central planning than we do. They seem to get along just fine. But Camino, I am with you, I think California and a few of the things they do are a little bit "out there' to say the least. Chris
  19. And maybe and maybe and maybe and maybe. maybe the moon should ahve been made of blu cheese and the earth should have been created in 9 days by a giant supernatural house cat with seven claws on each paw. Be grateful that Cadillac has some really good, creative product that they are building and that the future is actually looking up for the wreath and crest. Even if your a Toyota Humper from Toyota Nation it's better for you that Cadillac Stay around. Without competition, carmakers tend to get really lazy. Chris
  20. This begs the question. How do you define Honda buyers as idiots blind to reality? The same remark could be made of GM buyers, Ford buyers, BMW buyers, Benz buyers et al. Chris
  21. Would be nice if they did better in Houston. So much for people in Republican areas driving domestics. I think a big part of the problem is the gap GM seems to ahve with Hispanics and Females. I would love to see some actual numbers on both demographics, but GM may have some work to do in both population segments.
  22. Interesting how mustang sales for the month are steady with last year but overall is way down over last year. Chris
  23. ...and I stand corrected. Chris
  24. How does Chrysler not even care??? Your sounding more irrational than the Kool-Aide drinkers here, who are starting to sound plenty irrational as it were. New Jeep is well recieved and up in sales. Other Jeep product is Moving Ram is a good truck The RWD Stuff is good. They just need smaller cars, which Fiat will give them. Can't blame Chryco for being raped by Daimer and having no fresh product in the lower price ranges. Chris
  25. Who said the Genesis was better than the G8? And when I said the Genesis was selling better than other small sporty specialty cars, I meant cars like the RX-8 and the S2000, which Honda has now discontinued. At the same time, it is not an apples to apples comparo as Camaro has 35 plus years of heritage and 8 years of no camaro sales-pent up demand. I think Camaro will rightfully keep the number one spot. Chris
