  1. I just don't see the Nissan attraction, lots of other people here do. Nissan IMHO just needs to go away. I feel about it what a lot of other people feel about Toyota. CTS is a MUCH better car, FWIW. Chris
  2. You sure you just haven't been 15 12 more times? Chris
  3. The Hyundai is still a Hyundai, there is no unique personality to the car. The G8 has a very unique personality. If you want a mee too mobile with soft plastics, the Hyundai should be a set of wheels for you... Chris
  4. Exactly. Chris
  5. I'm scared that in 2012 things will still be bad and we will do something reactionary and stupid which will put us further in the hole. What was that pessimist and a cynic thing again...kinda rymes with realist. The average age of a car in the USA is almost ten years now, I think that a lot of people will keep cars that are serving them well for quite awhile. I'm also really scared that the more interesting stuff (Sosltice, G8, Mustang, et al) will get cancelled and that what will be available when the economy gets better will be a bunch of Corolla wanna bees. It will be interesting to see what BMW does here in the states. Chris
  6. I'm begining to think that if their is a god Sex is his/her idea of a joke, everyone chasing each other around here on eath to get in each others pants. Chris
  7. I like option #3 myself. Chris
  8. I like option #3 myself. Chris
  9. All the more reason to sell her a Silverado... Chris
  10. Like I said, 2009 is going to be rough. Oldsmoboi, you weren't kidding when you said a financial bloodletting was going to happen here in the states. I just wish that you had been wrong. Chris
  11. Good luck to you too, OC. I remember being 17 and wondering if I'd ever find a girl to love...and then meeting a very nice girl when I was 19, then marrying her when I was 21 or 22. Can't imagine how hard it would be to be single and thirtysomething. Must really suck for both of you guys. Although I can't understand the sttraction to anything with a penis. To me the male package looks profoundly ugly. Showering in the boys locker room convinced me at a young age that either god was a lunatic or evolution must be reality. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Chris
  12. Actually around here a very nice concours restored mid 50's rolls wound up with a blown 454..similar project although IIRC the car was black. Guy that restored the Rolls was NOT happy... Chris
  13. Since your traveling with a female, let me give you a hint. She will pack less and the trip will be more fun. I have a wife and three daughters, also have had two teenage girls as exchange students. Ask me how I know about females and packing. You may yet trade the MINI in on an Ariel Atom, Lotus Catherham 7, or Meyers Manx dune buggy once you see how much less she can pack... Chris
  14. +1 on the Wrangler Rubicon...would be a great summer toy... My brother in law just bought my sister a prev. gen Wrangler six speed. She loves putting the top down and hauling my neice and nephew around. Chris
  15. Honda has been dropping around here in central Ohio also, and with the big Honda plants just up the road in Marysville, one would think this would be the LAST place Honda would drop. Chris
  16. If your serious, I could do some checking around. I saw this in the paper when I was in the doctors office waiting for my son... Chris
  17. I would agree...and I'm not really down with the new Wrangler, either. Chris
  18. The fact that it sustains the middle class is probably why it is so threatening to the powers that be. Seriously. Chris
  19. The Atlanta Are is cool. I wonder how much loosing that plant and the Ford Taurus plant will hurt the rather strong Atlanta economy? There are still days I wish I lived in Atlanta. Chris
  20. Interesting question, FOG. I would think that GMC is as close to a GM nameplate as they have, and as such I would hate to see it go. Chris
  21. It would be an awesome tow vehicle done. If it doesn't sell on Ebay, you might join the SCCA and list it with the local SCCA folks, or the local roundy-round or drag folks, if they have a newsletter. Although fewer people are racing because of the economy, there is still a demand for cheap tow vehicles. I'm going to mention this to a couple friends of mine, and see if I can drum up some interest for it. Chris
  22. Amazing pics...to bad you can't do a custom paint job like this on a vehicle....that would be a cool showtruck! Chris
  23. Keep us posted, dude, esp. with the school situation. I know you don't want to relocate, but I have floated the idea of starting an Italian language department to a few admin. friends of mine at a few alternative type schools. Hopefully it shouldn't come to that but.... Keep us posted. And good luck on Long Island! Chris
