  1. Step 1) Drive out to an abandoned field Step 2) Douse in Gasoline and Set Fire Step 3) Walk away. Most Reliable Midsizer in North America for most of its run... You couldn't go wrong with one, BV. (Three Cheers for Column Shifts)
  2. Nice! Now all it needs is a proper Waterfall Chrysler grille
  3. Well I got it back. 200$ to replace a wiring box which was hosed, and there was a small crack in the fuel line that was fixed as well. So even though everything is working now, My parents are still considering turfing it. If the Cobalt's we're looking at have ABS, it's pretty much a slam dunk. If no ABS, I might get a G6 V6, or we might just keep it.
  4. Yeah, keep it Aura and let it build some 'cred with customers.
  5. Well That's Dumb. It was -50 for a week and a half that winter- if not for a bock heater, my car would not have started.
  6. If I were the criminals, I'd want the police to get to me before the owner.
  7. Hey my aunt bought a 1996 Corolla without AC, brand new. The part where she regretted it but never complained because she didn't want to get pounced on was completely irrelevant. So was the part where it eats a full quart of oil every 58Kms...
  8. The only reason I ask is because I haven't heard hide nor hair of it since it was announced in mid 07. I'll always have a soft spot for big Cadillacs too, got it from my Grandfather. Worked hard for decades, always wanted one and only could afford once once. A 1956 Coupe Deville in black (What Else?) in 1961. I always sorta wanted him to have one more, but since he bought his Impala last year (He's 80), I'm not seeing it happening . His only consolation was when he was a plasterer during the construction of Trump Village in Brooklyn and the foreman would let him drive his new Cadillac to do some banking errands on the side. He also got to meet Donald Trump, well, little Donald Trump. Trump Sr. would bring him to the worksite from time to time, and he says that he hasn't changed based on his exposure to "The Apprentice" on TV.

  10. A Bit off topic, but PCS, what's up with the DTS-L? Is it fleet only? I hope not.
  11. No. If the Cobalt doesn't have standard ABS, then the Korean Econobox Aveo certainly will not.
  12. Up here a loaded Astra is only like 1000$ more than a loaded Cobalt. If the Astra had more intuitive controls, I'd get a 5-Dr. XR in a heartbeat.
  13. That's a sweet ride, F&K. Whereabouts in Alberta are you?
  14. I'm of 68's Mindset on this one- I don't like them. It's different though!
  15. Well that sucks, I'm sorry to hear that.
  16. There are good ones out there up here, mostly 3.8L Pontiacs. They did REAL well up here, surprisingly, especially in Quebec. I've seen quite a few nice well kept ones with like 120K miles that would be worth it. There's lots of them at GM Dealers too being sold for peanuts. I want to buy one in a couple of years, do a full engine rebuild, transmission rebuild, fix the interior and paint to like new and preserve it for a while. Of all the vehicles GM has made in the last twenty years, it's possible this is the most special one to me (as odd as it can sound to say such things). The rims are a subjective subject. The ones pictured in the above picture were the factory 1993-1994 Alloys, having had a 94, those wheels are a must to me but others think the 1995-1996 Wheels were better: In fact, there's a nice Burgundy/Tan TwoTone near you (a 1995 with 3.8L), 170K, 2500$ http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?rdpa...&cardist=25 Or a Shuttlecraft White one in Lake Orion (1995, 130K with the 3800) 2900$ http://detroit.craigslist.org/car/612761299.html Or a Forest Green 1995 Silhouette 3.8L w. Leather in Immaculate Condition. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_...&cardist=65

  19. I always wanted the station wagon version of the Ciera (sans woodgrain of course)- that was sharp for an old ancient battle tank.
  20. All the more for me :AH-HA_wink:. For Me, a 1994-1995 Trans Sport 3.8L, and a 1990-1992 Toronado (non Trofeo) would be ideal *project* cars. But Seriously consider that A-Bod Cutlass Ciera I posted, even the Century Estate wouldn't be bad.

  22. Hey, I've got gas receipts somewhere to prove it. Do a little drafting and it's def. Possible with the Series I FWD 3800. Just ask WMJ about his Eighty Eight :AH-HA_wink:
