Chevrolet News:2018 Chevrolet Equinox To Begin At $24,475*

It seems like GM is re-engineering their MSRP structure. A few munts back, all the Camaros at the local dealership were getting their window stickers replaced to show a $500 base price reduction. That is different than a rebate. If I go into the inventory section of Chevy's site right now and look at local Trax inventory, there is a section there describing a "factory reduction in MSRP" of about $1100 in addition to a discount that reads as more temporary. So that $29k Trax Premiere AWD is now $27k and change. This is a necessary market correction, in my opinion, v. the competition. -

Oh please. They have their phone, nothing else matters, the time will go quickly sitting in the spic and span Toyota waiting area with free wi-fi and coffee bar. PLUS, your Kia Soul guy who is home every night? He is an imbecile and he would forget to plug in the damn car, guaranteed. Forgetting to stop for gas is a mental problem, not a Soul problem.- 254 replies

It is a threat to my very existence, having to get oil changes and stop for gas. Very harmful, and I don't know if I can take it much longer.- 254 replies

At $24,475 base, it blows the Trax out of the water. The Trax needs to go down in price, pronto, Kemosabe. -
Chevrolet News:2017 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel To Begin At $24,670

Took today off work (use it or lose it by end of the yerr) so I went and had a recall done on my truck (HVAC system). Very cold and windy day, but I ventured out to look at a sharp little LT/RS hatch in Kinetic Blue with Convenience and Sun & Sound packages. Real nice little automobile. Now we have the concrete possibility of diesel power, which puts me in blissful territory... I really wish they could get the Mexican plant up to speed sooner than 2018 for the hatch diesel. -

Chevrolet News:Spying: Which Chevrolet Crossover is Under the Camo?
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
Oy, another loved name from the past being slapped on a transverse engine, weak kneed version of its former self? Would be so much better if the Blazer name returned on a 2-door, Colorado-based SUV. -
Hullo HB. I used to be the birthday thread man here. Ah the good old days before the Saturn Outlook was canceled at the eleventh hour...

There is a correlation between a battery in an electric vehicle being equivalent to a fuel tank in an internal combustion vehicle, as the juice in the battery powers the motors, the fuel in the tank drives the engine. So it extends to battery range/fuel tank size. A fuel tank never shrinks.- 254 replies

Hmmm... could be Olds too... I am not seeing Chevrolet cues yet... clear lens taillamps? WAY over. And the grille doesn't vibe toward Chevy for me. -

*points in one general direction* HAHA... The story from GM comes out today that the Bolt (and other electrics, they don't single themselves out) could lose up to FORTY PERCENT of battery capacity/RANGE over 8 yerrs. Funny... I've never heard of a gasoline vehicle's FUEL TANK shrinking over ANY LEMF of time.- 254 replies

Well the Commodore has gotten cute and citified over the last few yerrs too. Do they even make a base Ute with exterior load tie-down hooks any more?
-
Well I like that color blue on the Ford whatchamacallit. GT or some shit.
-
Or they could just bolt a second row seat in, then remove it at port and recycle it like Ford does with the Transit Connect...

This review prompted me to visit VW's site. This is such a New England vehicle, I can see it making inroads up there. Seems like a great vehicle for all 50 states. LOVE the brown leatherette interior. I would get one in dark blue with the brown leatherette. I would need a tweed coat though, for driving. And some sort of fox hunting cap for my head.

Well ya know I'm pretty sure the sheetmetal gauge thickness will be the same between a Bolt and an Encore, and if it isn't, I would lean toward the Bolt having thinner metal (possibly of a different type of steel), if that would make any sense atall. Also, according to Chevrolet's website, the Trax has 18.7 cu ft of cargo room with the seats up, while the Bolt has 16.9. Also, on rear seat legroom, the Trax is listed at 35.7 and the Bolt at 36.5... both paltry when you consider the Honda HR-V has 23.2 cu ft of cargo space with the seat up and 39.3 inches of rear seat legroom. Just examples from manufacturer websites if anyone is innerested. "Continue your hate racist spew against anything EV. " Yer funny!- 254 replies
