  1. I'm laughing because this sounds like Tarzan speaking. "Talk to woman..." etc. LOL
  2. Attack of the Giant Black Bumper Boxes! dfelt... why does every single post of yours have to be a "plug" for EV's? In every thread? Tiresome.
  3. Just to clarify, the SR trim has been out for a few years... for 2017, Nissan is adding some bite with the turbo engine. If it were available in a hatch (not the Juke) it would be on my list of candidates.
  4. Haha, that didn't take long. I took down my 2018 Equinox background picture and exchanged it for a 2018 Compass Trailhawk!
  5. I don't know man, I was looking at domestic compacts today and I think the 6 year old Focus hatch (came out in 2011!) looks better than the brand new Cruze hatch. The Ford looks rakish, sporty and grown up, with a European flair... where the Chevy looks juvenile, bloated, delicate and under-tired. I do prefer the Chevy's interior, however. It seem more airy than the Ford's bunker.
  6. regfootball - that is still so wicked cool. Loved the pickup, too!
  7. Seems to me 170 hp and 203 ft/lbs torque in a relatively lightweight CUV will be fine for a majority of drivers. Of course the 2.0t stats sound even better, but I would be looking at an LT, so I am not sure of availability.
  8. Every time I visit my mother and we go driving, she mentions how much she misses her Kia Soul. She's 72. These box cars missed the mark with young ppl, but the older folks love them because they can slide their butts in horizontally and get back out easily... they are small and easy to see out of and park, plus they have beaucoup amounts of room since they're so vertical.
  9. Everybody says don't buy a 1.5 Escape... go for the 2.0. Will they say the same about this Chevrolet and its 1.5L? I hope the diesel is not ridiculously priced.
  10. Around the back it reminds me of the Aussie Trailblazer. Uncle Dave, if you go over to Chevy's site, you can see the new Equinox in a couple of different colors under the "performance" button. Just click on the different engine options and you can see it rolling in CGI in different colors.
  11. This thing is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Look at that diesel highway fuel mileage... 40 MPG in a conventionally fueled, NORMAL everyday useful vehicle. I just may have to start a new, short list of vehicles to move into!
  12. Green people, why buy a Bolt when you can get a Volt and not have a care in the world? Sawr a '17 Volt at the local dealer, an LT with Comfort for $33k MSRP, in that new Pepperdust color (which I thought was going to be a straight tan, but turns out it reminds me of that pearl olive color Chrysler had in the early 90's, only this skews black and green, cool!)
  13. Real nice!
  14. Looks really good, imo. Would love to see a torque-happy diesel in it here in the U.S. Also, their new turbo gas 4 sounds promising as well. No need for the fatal compromise of electrification on this one.
  15. Well you could buy a Fiat 500.
  16. Only thing I don't care for is the all-black textured rear bumper cover, it kinda stands out as odd, since the front bumper only has texture along the very bottom.
  17. Yup, that looks like a B-body Delta 88 with parts swapped. There's a REAL C-body Ninety-Eight, green and tan in the background.
  18. I am all over the map here. I've seen the videos where Mazda's Predictive AWD outperforms Subaru in snow. I've said the CX-3 is too tiny to be an effective CUV... yet I have a Spark on my list. CX-3 without Bose has 12.4 cu ft of space for groceries which is fine, and 44.5 max cargo space for camping gear. Both of course larger than a Spark, and max space is only 3 cu ft less than a Sonic or Cruze hatch (the Sonic has a larger max cargo hold than Cruze!) The CX-5 is a very decent vehicle but it is looking a bit old (like the Sonic, even in '17 guise). I really want to see the facelifted CX-5... but the CX-3 is gaining ground with me right now. Although... Mazdas have an urban look and feel, and I am more a country boy. Encore is like old money on a country estate, and Trax is not slick like the Mazda, it is more modest and universal, which has its own appeal. Features for the price though, the Mazda is looking good to me.
  19. When I look at pricing on the Encore and Trax and compare them to other small crossovers, the GM fraternals seem pricey. $28k for a '17 Trax Premiere AWD? Encore Sport Touring AWD with the new engine is $29k. One could buy a top of the line Forester or Outback at those prices (but then suffer with a CVT).
  20. Had to drive my mom's '15 Versa Note SV today, found it an acceptable mode of transport, showed 37.4 MPG overall average.
  21. This is wicked! I posted a photo of the Spark Activ here a few munts ago.
  22. Real nice looking wagon. Something's missing though.
  23. Truly the end of an era for hot hatches.
