ocnblu... since 1952! Haha, the WR-V makes me smile way more than the HR-V. Why can't we have it?

Toyota News: Don't Expect A Turbo or Hybrid C-HR For U.S.
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in Toyota
GOOD, no crappy hybrid. Very telling that the hybrid won't appear in a car that is supposed to sell to "hip young millenials"' don't you think? ESPECIALLY from Toyota? And DOUBLE ESPECIALLY since it already exists elsewhere? Still needs the option of AWD, and a stick though.- 17 replies

Sweet! I just wish there were more cars on the ground in my urrea to choose from. Spark LS manual in Splash for $11k though... hard to beat, and it's close by!

I like the idea of natural interior materials. If they can break through the noise of the Prius, Bolt and Volt in a time of cheap gas and lingering questions on Hyundai quality, they might sell a few. The Hyundai dual-clutch has been panned in reviews just like every other dual-clutch transmission out there, in my opinion. Nicer than the Prius though.

Yes I am amazed at how deeply Chevrolet is discounting their brand new Cruze, for example. Is it a sign of a weak product or a weakening market? Maybe it is a good product overpriced. They are discounting it to the point of squeezing the Sonic out of ppl's radar. Yes I've spent a lot of money on vehicles, been lucky enough over time to not be "underwater" on any of them at the time of trade-in. Yes I am thinking my next one will essentially be a commuter that exceeds at practicality for the dollar spent, which is why I gravitate toward small hatchbacks. But I won't drive something boring. I love my truck, I've actually used it as a truck a good bit and not just as a way to get back and forth to work. I have 32k miles on it now and I believe I owe in the $14-15k bracket on it. It was $32.5k MSRP new. Not bad. Pretty good equity for sure. If I put a bit down, I could be pretty close to buying a Fit EX manual or the like outright with no payment. The no payment thing on a brand new vehicle would be something to be thankful for.

The 2018 Ford Fiesta is one sweet little ride. I love the mature looks of the Fiesta v. the Sonic and Spark, which the Fiesta seems to straddle in size. Imagine that... they also have a "Fiesta Active" with an "e".

You can have your weenie EV's, but to convert ANY ICE vehicle to wimp ass electric is SACRILEGE and needs to be BANNED.

I am surprised and pleased by how conservative it is. Bumpers are no more outlandish than other Civics... no giant wing or ridiculous ground effects kit. Got blue?

More awkwardly proportioned than the GM mini utes. Love the blackout package though... and that back door is fantastic. Easier to open and close than a hatch... can be safely opened in a garage without hitting the garage door opener track, etc etc... Seems like my predictions for this were true... the removal of the spare tire (if it has one) from the back door... and a naturally aspirated engine. woot

Ford EcoSport To Make North America Debut At LA: Comments
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
I get what you're saying. I had a '92 Golf, two '98 Beetles, an '00 GTI, '03 ION coupe, '09 Cobalt coupe, '11 Fiesta, '12 Cruze and '13 TDi Beetle, so I do have history with small cars. Of course it was nice loading up an old chair and my 19 year old super heavy TV that got burned out in a storm to the dump in one trip, no problem. If I could swing two vehicles, it would be the best solution. -
Well I'm not pro-Comey. You guys have been in the running for longest engagement. I'm happy for yous boys. I do not believe marriage rights will be rescinded.

Ford EcoSport To Make North America Debut At LA: Comments
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
I was looking at a '17 Trax LS AWD this afternoon on the local lot. I actually thought I would need a Premiere, but there is so much stuff on the base model, except FOG LIGHTS of course, that a set of 16" black wheels and moderately knobby tires one size wider (215/70R16) would be fine I think. $23k. I'm thinking a single dude like myself with no cat... it would be fine, plus I like the fold flat front seat for extra long and girthy things. If there is no GM Accessory foglamp kit, I am sure it is pre-wired for it, I would need the dash switch and the lamps and bezels at employee price. -
You honestly believe there were that many undecided voters? I mean Comey's July press conference on the findings should have been enough to sink her. Collective deafness on the part of the fervent.

"Women propelled Trump to victory" "More college educated women who identify as Democrats voted for Trump than the other way around" Oh, you know, just two quotes I heard and read from reliable sources since the election. No big deal. NPR?
