  1. I still don't want one.
  2. Sweet, I just got home from running errands. I left the computer on because of the monitor situation (it was fine when I left). When I got home, it was a gray screen of death with a black cloud. When I worked the mouse, it came on, but it was my home page jumbled. At least I could see the prompter, so I clicked on C&G in my favourites and it straightened itself out. Just not sure how much time it's got left.
  3. Thanks for the information!

  6. Holy crap Empowah, that was really cool! Yes, the A-Class manages to transcend its size and 5-door hatchback body to become a real Benz.
  7. Here at my house, I've noticed it's cooler if I just have the windows open, no fan going, as a fan draws in hot air. If the sun is in a position to actually hit a window or sliding door, I close it, the insulating glass keeps it noticeably cooler. At night for sleeping I turn on the fan to draw air through, not blow it in. Works well so far.
  8. Well last month I had to get a new computer after 8 years, it died. Now my monitor, an NEC LCD is on its last legs, it took 20 minutes for it to get its act together this morning. ANYHOO, if anyone has ideas on which type of monitor is the best, I'd appreciate hearing your opinions.
  9. Yes, fair and balanced. Facts are nice.
  10. YES
  11. You're doing alright. Thanks fer posting.
  12. Chevrolet Cruze showing weakness. Product has grown stale, and timing of updates is too long coming... traditional GM failures coming back to haunt. Spiffy Sonic doing well in the segment, but not going gangbusters. Shows that Americans still want bigger vehicles, even when a smaller one is as feature-laden. Malibu not too bad, GM's best selling car for the month, but we're not sure how the new-style model is selling, really, with the outgoing one still current. I believe when the 2.5L comes on, Malibu sales will go nowhere but up. Camaro doing well a few years on, even without all the crazy submodels Ford brings with Mustang. A strong product. Colorado not doing bad for its advanced age... to show increases on such an old vehicle proves to me that compact trucks can still be relevant... HELLO, Ford and Ram? GM fullsize truck, even combined, still 10k sales less than F-series... the unstoppable juggernaut. Look at Verano go! It's doing great, already outselling its bigger sister, Regal, YTD, and it hasn't been out all year. Plus it is a brand new name for Buick to introduce... the Regal name alone should have huge name recognition on its side. Something needs to be done with the Regal.
  13. Jeez, some of us were rationalizing the outgoing Escape's hotness by saying people had seen the new version and did not like it. Now it becomes apparent that Fusion sales, which have been pretty good all along, are spiking as well after the new 2013 model made its internet and show debut. Fusion outsells Focus, that is a surprise to me. And Focus sales have cooled. That sounds like trouble bewing for such a new design. Fiesta, as nice a car as it is, needs updates soon. I think Fiesta and Focus sales are being held back by that junk automanual transmission they're using. Solution: just buy the manual, it's much more fun anyway! A proper automatic transmission is needed in those cars NOW. I am not satisfied with Ford's claim that people were buying Rangers only because they were cheap. Whoever was in charge of that research should be fired, and saying the Fiesta was the effective replacement? LAUGHABLE. A modern replacement for the Ranger would be a guaranteed hit... it is a Ford truck, for heaven's sake, that's gold right there. Perhaps a new small pickup and van sharing a platform to replace the Ranger and Transit Connect? Lincoln... how sad. All that bluster on Ford's part about revitalization seems so long ago. I know it takes time to make good on such promises, but what to do until then? The new MKZ will never save this brand, and we've heard nothing else concrete about new vehicles coming in the next year or so.
  14. Barracuda sounds fantastic, bring it on! Small 2-seat roadster sounds awesome as well. Didn't we see a small Dodge roadster concept car a few years ago? Ram SRT... hmmm, what should it be on the next go-round...
  15. It's clearer than ever what people want in a Jeep. Company management had better be listening. Liberty sales surprise me. Not that it's a bad product, but that it is not new... if the Pentastar and 8 speed were in the Liberty now, it would really be going like hotcakes, imo. I mean, just look what the new engine has done for the Wrangler, BOOM! Although Patriot sales cooled last month, it warms my heart that even with all the corporate emphasis on its ugly sister the Compass, my favorite miniature Jeep still handily outsells it. I'd like to think it's based on looks, not just price. Dart needs to be in customers hands like YESTERDAY. Fantastic number of variations available should make this a solid hit, not to mention all the positive reviews so far. I just hope the car is bulletproof. Glad to see the Avenger/200 doing well, even though "doing well" is a relative term for these cars, when one looks at sales figures for the real heavy hitters in their segment. Wish Dodge Ram had a genuine, BOF compact pickup truck with a Fiat diesel in it. Happy to see business people are paying attention to the Caravan C/V, as I think it's a better product for the money v. the Transit Connect, if they are compared side by side.
  16. This topic affects my keyboard. It makes one of the keys stick for some reason. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... see wut I mean?
  17. 1960s International Scout, restored, bright red with black top, lifted a bit on black wheels. At the gymnasium parking lot. Sawr kid parking it as I was entering lot. Turns out his dad found it in AK, brought it home and had it redone. Lucky kid getting to drive it.

  19. Shoot, I have my Mitchell book, let me check it once. EDIT: Well, my book covers Camaro from '73-'77, and the part number remained the same for those years, pn 9819030.
  20. The XTS is a nice car if people let it be what it is and quit trying to make it into something it wasn't meant to be.
  21. Very well-organized account, Booyah. Glad you've been able to "steer clear of black Festivas", but being a responsible rider, I doubt you've had to deal with such things.
  22. Happy Birthday to everyone born on July 3rd if you're reading this. Another year done and a new one just beginning, so celibate! I mean celebrate!
  23. Why does everything on these new Datsuns have to be so pointy, though?
  24. Aren't those kit car body fits hilarious?
