  1. Well the chrome version is a bit too blingy for a retro-cool car like the Challenger, imo. I do like the silver-painted version with the bright lip and different center cap like the One Lap car that got crashed.
  2. There are a few companies that make modern-diameter copies of original OE-style rims.
  3. Prices are up at Edmunds! My Deepwater Blue Pearl SE with the uplevel option package and Boston Acoustics speaker package: $25,785. Go option yours up and post the numbers here!

    PANEL TRUCKS

Harley: it's a gash that never heals. Ew. :AH-HA_wink: Hey mustang... uh, you know dat's a toy, right? And the UPS truck looks photoshopped.
  5. I fought back tears several times yesterday at my brother's wedding. I felt like such a putz. None of the other guys were bawling. I don't think anyone saw me.
  6. You beat me at this Challenge, BP (I was just about to burst in here and post this very same info). This is one HONEY of a car! I was just at Autoblog, and I went through all 30 pictures in the gallery for the brochure. Two things of interest for budget-minded Challenger prospects: the base SE comes with 17" aluminum rims, not the cheap wheel covers shown earlier on the Dodge website for the car... and the price starts at only $21k, not $23k as was previously reported. This is what I'm talking about, Dodge Boys. I could jump GM's one-oar-in-the-water ship for one of these. This car has BALLS and I am sure GM will price the Camaro to sabotage it in the market so they can kill it quickly and place the blame on the buying public, or CAFE, or fuel prices, or some such bull$h!e. I am going to continually check for updates and prices on the Challenger SE with the uplevel option package. Just when doom and gloom descend on us GM fans, along come The Dodge Boys to set us right!
  7. On XPN, the public radio station (which can be found at XPN.org), they play another version of it from time to time. I heard it this morning on the way back from Newark, DE. I forget the dude's name who sings it, but it's probably on par with Mr. Cole's. It's very intriguing and provocative to hear a man sing these lyrics.
  8. The Nat King Cole version of this song is simply beautiful. Give it a listen sometime.
  9. From what I've seen of those 6000 STE gauges in the G8, I'd say a storage bin, or a set of analog gauges, would be an improvement, not a decontenting. I understand currency value is a bitch, but really. Mr. wildcat: yes, I like the G8. But even the V6 version is too expensive for me. And I still wish it had more Pontiac flavor in its styling. I'll be patted on the head and told to sit down and shut up, but I still think an Alpha Pontiac coupe, sedan and convertible would go all the way toward a revitalization of the brand.
  10. The Fit is hard to Beat :AH-HA_wink: , agreed, moltie. After seeing a photo set of the '09, though, there are some things I like better on the '08, like the dashboard.
  11. When I saw the '09 Aveo5 for the first time at Baltimore's Auto Show, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it is a band-aid like the last minivans, but the sum of the changes are worthwhile. A top-of-the line, leatherette 5 speed Aveo5 with the improved engine should be worth a look. I just wish the 3-door were sold here, at Chevy and Pontiac.
  12. Borger, now be nice. After all, FOG knows you only by your posts. And your posts led him to the logical conclusion! :AH-HA_wink:
  13. Perhaps we can just sit there like lumps and simply text instructions to our transport pods, since texting is more important than driving to so many idiots these days.
  14. Pontiac needs to stay. Period. It is a core brand. These ancillaries like Hummer and Saturn should be jettisoned in a heartbeat before any more core brands are murdered. Saturn means nothing. It is a nothing brand since it's been assimilated. That much is crystal clear. If there HAS to be a GME presence in NA, add Corsa and US gen 2 Astra to Pontiac's lineup at the bottom, they'd be good fits.
  15. Volkswagen* * German for people's car
  16. Classic song, interesting version: EDIT: don't be scared, it's not gay.
  17. Mercury Montclair
  18. Chevrolet Monza Mirage
  19. kilt whoopsie, where'd that breeze come from?
  20. Just by coinkydink, my local BPG dealership (God I hope it NEVER becomes my local BS dealership :AH-HA_wink: ) has a VP G6 sedan... DX'd in from a Jersey dealership no less, with an ADM "full protection package", including door edge guards, which were body-color, by-the-by. The car is silver.
  21. Me too, he was ceaselessly amusing to read. I hope he's alright.
  22. A bunch of beautiful Buicks. Thanks a bundle for bringing these photos to bear!
  23. Well fear is a component of repression, I am sure. Repression comes from within, oppression comes from without. It is no one's fault I haven't broken free of my chains. I fastened them myself. And time marches, stealing my life day by day.
