Pretty great performance/price/fuel economy combination with the base model and the size is spot on.

Hyundai News:Hyundai Issues A Teaser Of The 2015 Genesis
It looks like they spent a lot more time on the design this time around and it paid off. There was little doubt in my mind they would take a leap forward in style for the second gen based on their other efforts.

Phones
Windows phone 8 is a bit behind in things like notifications and multitasking. I think MS made a mistake dedicating resources to RT. RT and WP8 should be one and the same.

2014 Mazda3 hatch if you want a bit of fun, practicality and fuel economy, Cruze or Verano if you want bigger car feel.

Industry News: New Study Shows Zero-Car Families Are On The Rise
I would bet in many urban areas it is a big factor when you combine it with the other high expenses involved in living in the city. If you can walk to work, or take a 40 minute ride on transit to work, then why pay $200 a month on insurance for a car you only drive once a week? Especially with services like Zip car and its competitors. My wife's car just gathers dust since we've moved across the street from the subway station. Such a waste of money and depreciation expense.

REGAL : THE FUTURE
I love that the base engine is the 2.0T now and the revised interior, but the new wheels are no better than the old wheels (which I found ugly). The car's pricing in Canada starts where an Accord V6 pretty much tops out, similar to Acura sedans. I think enthusiasts pony up for RWD bias nameplates, and non-enthusiasts spending this kind of money are buying something more spacious/practical like an SUV or larger sedan.

Tesla wants have a self driving car built in 3 years
I'd rather not be dependent on a car to get through every day life efficiently, but the days I do need to drive I'd like to do it on my own.

2014 Kia Cadenza
I generally prefer Kia's styling over Hyundai's but as already mentioned this car is the exception, the Azera does look better all around.

Hypothetical
If I'm buying a 2005, I'm paying for it with cash or my finances don't need another car to maintain and insure.

Phones
I've had an HTC One for about a month now, installed a Google Edition ROM to make it closer to vanilla Android. Really happy with it, though my love of gadgets always has me checking out what devices are coming down the pipe.

Acura News: Acura TSX May Be Shown The Door
2006 TSX is still my daily driver. I still love driving it, not really missing the newer tech in new models. Only changes aside from the aspec suspension is a thicker rear sway bar. Not a big fan of the second gen, would probably replace it with a Mazda6 if something happened to the car. It's been bulletproof, we've only been back to the dealer for wiper blades and one recall. If anything my only complaint is the soft paint.

2014 GMC Sierra on my lot
I think they look great, but you're right about the interior it looks like they doused it in Armour All, something I thought people with taste stopped doing for the most part around the turn of the century.

Back again...GS style this time
I have yellowstuff pads, they dusted like crazy for the first 6 months/10K km or so, but seemed to have calmed down by now. I still spray the wheels down with rim cleaner every few weeks so they're not always dark gray.

The $25,000 question....
The Passat TDI and 300 are my choices. I like the 300 but at 5'9" and 150 I look like a little kid in one.
