Buick.com updated for 2008...
Slight update to the sites overall look. The LaCrosse definitely looks better, and I like the new paint choices for the LaCrosse and Lucerne. 3 models. Wow. Looks so scarce.

Buick getting more models?
??? Care to elaborate? Post the article? Talk about it?

People are weird...
Grazie :AH-HA_wink: I guess as an Italian teacher, I shouldn't get it. Especially since in the first week I start teaching them the sounds of the letters. LOL

You guys are boring. I was going to get a license plate that said: FACCHIÙ

Super hot weather or super cold weather
Prefer Super Cold. I can NOT handle the heat. I remember once I waited at my bus stop (for high school), when the temperature was -3F, and the wind chill was something like -25F. Of course after 45 minutes at the stop we gave up, and then found out the bus driver called in sick.

No... I'm avoiding sitting in new cars that I can't afford right now. Thing is, I've never had to telescope a steering wheel--it's not usually a problem for me, so it wouldn't kill me if my next car didn't do that. I'll trade that for alloy wheels.

The O.C. driving an Enclave in The O.C.....
I have been saying this for YEARS. I said this when the LaCrosse came out--why couldn't they just put LED lighting for the gauges, but make it a blue/green color, a la Buick? It would be brighter and bolder.

Unveiled: Mitsubishi Galant Fortis
I'm so confused... so they're going to have a compact named the Galant Fortis, and a midsize named the Galant? Yeah, good to see GM isn't the only one with naming issues.

Why 175 million Chinese are studying English
I thought they were learning to speak English so they could understand why we recall their toys for lead paint and their cars for being made of marshmallow.

Motortrend - 2008 Accord vs 2007 Camry Comparison Test
The Malibu will not win in a C&D comparo. They'll pick on the fact that it's V6 albeit larger, produces less hp, or the gauges are smaller, or the materials aren't as posh as in the Accords, or the fuel economy numbers... both the Camry and Accord V6 trump the Malibu in numbers... if it's the same as the 2008 LaCrosse CXS, they'll be 17/25. Hardly competitive.

My Rome Pics II
What impresses me most (and you can see in the first picture), is that those letters, when you're on the ground appear to be maybe 2 inches tall, when in reality, they're 8 feet tall each! Mille grazie Pontiac, spero che possa usarle!

Saw the new 2008 LaCrosse
Stop! OMG... An STS is MY CAR... I would take that car over any other car (under 60,000). It's the edgiest I would go in styling. If money was object of course! Anything above 60K would probably go to an A8L

Saw the new 2008 LaCrosse
Thanks for the pics Fly... I actually like the grille now--I think the car actually looks a lot sharper with it and the chrome appearance package. And ouch on the EPA ratings for the 3.6L

Sexual Preference
Who comes up with this shit?! God, last year I was teaching food, and my students started asking me how to say "teabag". By the end of the year, I had half of them begging me to write "bustina" in their yearbooks.

All set for $5 gas?
Damnit... just when my car has something wrong with it where I'm averaging 12.5 mpg in mixed driving. MF.

Saw the new 2008 LaCrosse
Well, I'm a rare breed...I mean, just size-wise, I'm a very tall guy, and I like the extra room, so I would always steer to mid size or larger. I happen to have grown up in a well-to-do area. Although my parents didn't buy me a car, all of my friends' parents bought them cars, and they were luxury vehicles. I grew up appreciating a quiet, smooth, comfortable ride. Sports cars tend to be smaller, coupes give me bad memories from all the time I tried to squeeze my long legs in the back seat, so I usually go for sedans. As for SUVs and CUVs, I refuse to purchase one because I live on Long Island and have NO need for one. I don't need a huge vehicle for groceries, or driving to Best Buy. Now, being a teacher and hearing 120 students in your class all day long, and standing in the hallways during pass times with students screaming to each other all day long... you learn to appreciate a nice quiet sanctuary--a place to get away from the world. And I'm young, so it has to be quasi affordable. What do you have? Buick.
