  1. I could see myself becoming one of those 65 year old guys in plaid shorts and golf shirt cruising around Scottsdale or Palm Springs in a Corvette convertible. The scary part is that is only a little over 15 years away..
  2. Back to the original thread topic, maybe the 2020 C8 will be a short run, hence the 'almost sold out already' and the higher volume production next year will be for MY 2021.
  3. Maybe we will see trans genre CUV-based sedans...with the body height and proportions of a crossover but with a trunk. Picture an Equinox or Edge w/ a trunk. A crossover crossover.
  4. Too gloomy. ...not a fan of blackout, I like a bit of chrome and some color. It is funny to see Honda just now jumping on this blackout bandwagon..wasn't this trend passe 3-4 years ago? I've seen so many white SUVs w/ black wheels or black SUVs w/ black wheels....so boring, so overdone...
  5. And Porsche has a proper dealer network and the know-how to manufacture vehicles, unlike Tesla which has neither.
  6. Ok, similar idea to the Q8. The Q8 looks a lot like the Q3.
  7. Is the X8 going to be bigger than the X7, or are they going to do something weird like Audi did were the Q8 is smaller than the Q7?
  8. Problem w/ the 8 series is it looks like a Mustang with BMW front and rear styling cues at a much higher price. (and at a higher price than the 6 series coupe it replaced). The weird bulges in the rear fascia don't help either.
  9. Saw this gnarly Ford project car sitting one street over...
  10. Had a new black Silverado behind me today, realized the C-shaped elements at the ends of the grille bar are the DRLs...interesting. Saw a clean late 80s black Rolls Royce sedan w/a red leather interior in traffic.
  11. Yes, I read that somewhere also.
  12. I have a feeling they designed the platform to be adaptable to Hybrid or EV down the road. The competition are all offering Hybrid and EV sports cars...
  13. Seems very short-sighted thinking on the Detroit 3's part. I don't see the Japanese and Korean companies getting out of the sedan market. When the CUV/SUV fad fades, the Detroit 3 are going to be hurting due their usual short-sighted thinking...
  14. I was on the Ohio Turnpike and the PA Turnpike yesterday, one odd thing I noticed was you pay when you go into PA from Ohio instead of taking a ticket (in Ohio you get a ticket when you enter the turnpike, pay when you get off). It's been a long time since I've been on the PA Turnpike, but it seemed pricy compared to the Ohio Turnpike.
  15. Saw a blue and white Corvair Greenbrier pickup and white Volvo P1800 coupe. Both very clean. Saw a funny accident—-a Prius has rear ended a late model black Tacoma. What was funny was the Tacoma had a huge ‘REDNECK NATION’ logo on the rear window. A poser I guess, I don’t think real rednecks drive Toyotas.
  16. 2016 was the last year of the 2nd gen LaCrosse, another factor is how much you like the styling of that generation inside and out vs the 3rd generation (2017 and newer).
  17. Saw a bright green 6th gen Camaro ZL1 and a bright orange C7 Z06 in traffic last night....great exhaust notes from both..they were going light-to-light revving and trying to out-accelerate. Too much traffic to cut loose, though. Also saw a sharp copper '67 Dodge Dart GTS 2dr ht.
  18. GM already dropped midsize truck sales by 100% in the 2/3 year gap between the 1st and 2nd gen Colorado/Canyon, so there is precedent.
  19. Maybe they live in an apartment or condo.
  20. I liked some of the 80s-early 90s ones. Today they are just styleless machines that either sit in garages and are rarely driven, or catch fire when they are driven. And all that hideous carbon fiber trim---barf.
  21. Looks like a photoshop rendering...kind of looks like the current Tahoe body with an XT6-ish nose grafted on.
  22. Since Ram and Jeep are so strong, they can support two small brands (if they jettison the walking dead Italian brands).
  23. The Telluride center stack area reminds me of some BMWs....looks good inside and out.. have seen a couple around, in that green.
  24. If the Dodge brand is still around in 5 years, it will just be the Charger and Challenger I suspect.
