Interesting...didn't realize PSA had the DS brand in Japan...surprised they chose Peugeot for the US instead of DS.

Two new midsize sedans in a shrinking market, nice to see. I wonder when the next gen Mondeo will be seen...

Red is better than silver, white, or black though....silver, white and black are way overused in the auto industry and soooo dulll....

Noice...greenhouse reminds me of the LaCrosse. Interesting lighting details front and rear. Nice interior.

I warned her against it...but she has a thing for older Cadillacs as a commuter car. Her '15 Trax only has 15k miles, not driving it much.

Industry News: Nissan and BMW Could Pull Production from UK

Yeah, with the land border between N. Ireland and Ireland there is speculation now the relatively open border would have to have customs check points.- 17 replies

I could see this being used for airport shuttles...the 'minibus' passenger version of the Sprinter is used for that in various countries in Europe (ridden in them), those would probably rack up a lot of miles.

My sister's '06 STS has about 135k miles. It's back in the shop again w/ more electrical gremlins. The engine has been fine, she's put about 5000 miles on it since getting it last August.

Haven't seen that..the only current Sci Fi series I watch are Star Trek: Discovery, The Orville, and Doctor Who.

It seems the horsepower/top speed/0-60 race keeps getting one-upped with each new hypercar...where is it going...5000hp, 350mph top speed, -1 sec 0-60? Ferrari styling hasn't appealed to me in ages...I still love the looks of 80s super cars...Testarossa, F40, Countach, 959...

They are so boring and predictable...they all look like they were drawn by boys going through puberty or something out of a cheesy sci-fi show. And they always catch on fire. Just carbon fiber toys....

Volvo News: Volvo Setting 112 MPH Speed Limit on All Cars in 2020
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Volvo
Driving skills and car maintenance in general are so awful in the US I couldn't imagine the level of carnage with autobahn level speed limits here..Americans in general are too incompetent. They would be playing on their phones, ironing clothes, eating, etc.. IIRC at one time the German automakers had an agreement to have 155mph as the top speed on their cars. -
Interesting concept..I keep seeing the '72 Plymouth Fury front end with that 'barbell' nose theme..

Odd naming...would have thought they would have gone with CX-4. CX-30 sounds too much like an Infiniti name. Good looking CUV, though.

112 mph is 180 km/h...maybe that has some significance. Otherwise, seems like a random number. -

Higher speed crashes tend to have more fatalities than lower speed crashes, regardless of the maker of the car. And in other news, boiling water can burn one's hands. -
GM alone probably had at least that many dealers. I remember as a kid in 1980 every little town in my area in Ohio had a new car dealer or two it seemed. Anecdotal, but probably similar across the country. Today dealers seem to be concentrated in larger locations, corporate owned chains, and auto mall locations close to major cities and freeways. Of course, there were a lot more stores period back then, not just more car dealerships. Doesn't seem that long ago since it's within my lifetime, but nearly 40 years!

I could see a speed limiter being an issue on a Porsche, but on a Volvo? Has anyone every actually gone over a speed limit in a Volvo? Speeding really isn’t in the Volvo image.
