  1. Yeah, the numbers are pretty interesting..surprising to see some CUVs down or flat in a CUV/SUV market...
  2. Yeah, since it is under the Chevy category it's obviously a Chevy. Back when there were was the GMC version it probably would have read Suburban (GMC) under the GMC category. I guess whoever puts these reports together hasn't updated parts of the spreadsheet in a long time...
  3. Interesting that the chart says 'Suburban (Chevy)'...I guess that is a remnant from back when GMC's was called Suburban also...which was a quite a while ago...
  4. Yeah, I recognized Canal Fulton, been through there, around 40 miles from here.
  5. ^hmm...burnt '56 Chevy in Ohio, looks like..
  6. I like the looks of it, haven't seen one in person yet. I prefer hatchbacks to trunks anyway..
  7. I know Toyota and Lexus dealers in particular have really hyped up the personal service, attention and amenities...I remember one superstore in the Phoenix area advertising that they had free wifi, onsite hair salon, nail salon, Starbucks etc for waiting customers. My Jeep dealer had a cafe..(was the largest Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/RAM dealer in AZ).
  8. They kind of gave it a CUV-like ride height.. looks good...preview of the next V40 styling, I assume.
  9. I assume the fewer dealer numbers is because Genesis is setting up separate stores, rather than being glommed onto existing Hyundai stores...makes sense there would be more Hyundai stores....
  10. Well, Key West is the Monroe County seat. The other Keys are too small to support a new car dealer and some are closer to Key West than Miami. I lived in Marathon in the Middle Keys. Fascinating place. A series of little islands connected by bridges.
  11. I think they are going for a slow growth model; Lexus had only 2 models the first several years of it's existence. They aren't trying to be a high volume luxury brand like M-B or BMW at this point...
  12. It doesn't compete w/ the Camaro and Mustang, different niche.
  13. I could see that..definitely something Colonade about it...the big curves, long overhangs, 6 light greenhouse...
  14. That would be cool...something like a Nissan competitor to the 86. But with more variations...more a pure sports car than a GT. There were 4 seat 2+2 variations for 4 generations of Zs from the mid-70s to the mid-90s. 350Z and 370Z have been 2 seaters only, no need for a 4 seater with the G35/37 coupes. I've driven a '90 300ZX TT and an '04 350Z, they definitely had their appeal..fun cars.
  15. There was a full line GM dealer there when I lived in the Keys 30 years ago. No idea what's there now.
  16. Whilst out at lunch driving my Grand Cherokee, listening to the 'Hair Nation' station I heard a track by Europe called 'Cherokee'...80s cheese. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCbUZqN8JZ0
  17. I wonder if there are still any single showroom full line GM dealers left. I remember visiting one specific one as a kid that carried Chevy, Pontiac, Olds, Buick, GMC and Cadillac in one dealer, one showroom in a unique, remote community--Key West.
  18. The Cadillac dealer in my Phoenix neighborhood was also a Buick/GMC dealer (and Pontiac previously). But about 2 years ago they moved the Buick and GMC parts across the street to their former used car lot.
  19. I can't imagine anyone cares about the CLA it other than a few odd M-B fanatics... the M-B fans I know dismiss the CLA as just an entry-level lease appliance.
  20. At the drive thru at Dunkin's this morning, saw a very clean black Chevy Beretta...haven't seen one of those in years.
  21. There was a piece on Jalopnik yesterday about the Journey...price is part of it's success, cheapest 3 row out there probably. Had one as a rental a few years ago, not bad..the house 2 doors down from me has 2 of them. Looking the sales numbers from it's first year to the present, sales were double in '15-16 compared to '08-10...very unusual to see a model do that without a redesign..
  22. The way the front it disguised, the grille makes me think Dodge. Speaking of Dodge CUVs, wonder when the Journey is going to get replaced...
  23. T-Tops and Targa tops are neat, but you have to stash them somewhere when taking them off...I prefer sunroofs/moonroofs.
  24. Yes, that's the old GM brands..GM now has no brands in Europe since they sold off Opel.
  25. Yes, and GM had the Opel/Vauxhall Mokka in that segment (i.e. Encore/Trax relative).
