    That gray CT6 interior w/o wood (post #2284) is pretty blah, but the two tone w/ tan and wood one (#2296) looks very nice..

    Yes, it's quite clearly an MKX interior, from the steering wheel Lincoln badge, to the separate gauge pod pad, to the different vent shape (Fusion center stack vents are wider and shorter), and countless other detail differences..

    Random observation--I noticed this morning the wiper blades on my sister's Trax..the left one is at least twice the length of the right one. I guess that is because the windshield is relatively narrow yet rather tall...

    I've looked into living in the mountains and doing remote gigs. Problem is the places in the mountains I really like (Aspen, Vail, Breckenridge, other Co mountain towns) can be really expensive...even the smaller, less touristy places in the Rockies aren't cheap...

    Give me the 94hp/99tq version please. lol Back in the day I had an '84 Ranger 2.3L that put out a pavement scorching 82 HP... Now thats laughable My '84 Escort diesel had 52hp...and an AM radio. I could spin the front tires on gravel.

    Saw a Mercedes Sprinter box truck with Bimbo Bakeries (US arm of a big Mexican company) livery in traffic this morning..don't see Sprinter box trucks (cab & chassis w/ a box body) that often around here..

    The local Cadillac/Buick/GMC dealer recently built a separate showroom across the street for Buick and GMC to separate them from the Cadillac showroom (for the last 5 or so years, they were sharing the same large showroom space, after the Cadillac dealer bought the Pontiac/GMC/Buick dealer).

    I would hope so, considering the XL7 has been out of production for over 6 years....

    I really like the new Malibu. But I cannot resolve how the front end looks. But to reconcile that issue I reminded myself that driving the car, I wouldn't be looking at its weird front end. So the rest of the car is tasty and lickable. I've found the Malibu front end looks better in dark colors, and with a license plate (which they generally don't have here). The Malibu front end reminds me too much of the current Avalon (albeit w/ different detailing).

    Peter Schreyer went from Audi to Hyundai/Kia...it is interesting how so many automakers have such similar design elements...Hyundai and Audi have some very similar grille shapes, the Q2 has lower bumper vents and headlights that are Kia-esque. And some Hyundai grilles look Fordish, and some Fords grilles look like Aston Martins...and over and over.. GM for the most part can be credited for distinctive styling, models across the brands generally don't have front ends or side profiles that look strongly like non-GM brands...though taillights and rear details often veer toward the generic on some models.

    I'm funny about coupes..I've had a few, had them as my primary car most of the time through my 20s (and a 2dr SUV for winter)..wasn't until my 30s that I starting primarily driving 4drs and 5drs...in my 20s, I was parking outside at school then work, so lots of space for long doors..practical took a back seat to the fun of a 5.0 Mustang... But in living in larger cities and parking in garages mostly for work, a 4dr/5dr works so much better than a long doored two door w/ tiny windows...and 80s-90s coupes had so much better outward visibility.. Though I can see having another coupe sooner or later as a 2nd/3rd car for fun.

    I sat in a new Camaro at Barrett-Jackson...black bunker inside..tiny pill box side windows, low roof (my head was rubbing the headliner), undersized side mirrors, relatively wide car w/ long doors would be a pain in the ass in my real world office parking garage (assigned space underground)... The interior materials and fit and finish seemed better than the 5th gen's Fisher Price interior, though.

    A bit of Land Rover Evoque in the greenhouse, some Mini Countryman also. I guess this could be targeting the GLA and Mokka (Encore if it comes here).
