What do you think of the door handles? Seem strange to me. But this is one car I want to see in person before I form an opinion of it... -
Saw two road-rage morons on a busy street this afternoon...a silver Nissan Pathfinder and a black Audi A3 hatch...cutting each other off, blocking two lanes, horns, swerving, etc...went on a mile or so, then they both pulled into a parking lot...this being AZ, they probably shot it out...

I like the blue interior instead of the usual boring gray or tan. The door handles are wierd.

We had to put one of dogs to sleep today...our Australian Terrier rescue, Nauti (there is a long story behind the name), which we rescued 2 1/2 years ago on my sister's birthday (got her from the county shelter, was a stray due to be euthnanized), had a bad seizure this morning..she'd been undergoing chemo treatement for almost a year and her quality of life had been diminishing. As an aside, I think adopting dogs w/ my sister from local rescues and doing volunteer work w/ the rescues has made me a better person.

It's been a rainy, cool cloudy week here in the desert...nice change from the usual. This afternoon on one block in Scottsdale I saw an eclectic mix of cars parked on and off the street. A battered late model white Bentley Continental GT, a worn, tattered red LaForza SUV (haven't seen one of those in ages), a new Chevy City Express van in HVAC repair livery, a black Audi A8, a clean brown and tan mid '80s Ford Bronco, and a sharp silver '65 Olds Jetstar 1 coupe I've seen around for years...

And like the i3 it has a crap range and it was limited to one state for sale so again not an apples to apples comparison here. Keep the excuses coming though. The M-B B-class electric is currently sold in 11 states. -

Production versions of a Ciel full size 4dr convertible and Elmiraj hardtop coupe would go along way towards making Cadillac really stand out again.. if M-B can build 2dr ht coupes, why can't Cadillac? Sure, build lots of 4cyl X* CUVs for the mass market lux volume, but build some bold low volume, high end models also...

Most crossovers don't have AWD standard...they have the look, not the function. The 'X' means crossover and extra plastic cladding, really just tall wagons with slightly more ground clearance... -

All I know is in 8 years w the Jeep in Colorado I replaced the battery twice, and at least 5 times now in the last 7 years in the desert.

Dead battery in the Jeep. Called AAA, got here in 20 min. Checked the paperwork, battery less than 2 years old (18 months is the normal lifespan here). Free replacement since still under warranty.

My sister and I joke about being twins separated by 13 years..we are so alike in so many ways, personality, interests, etc. Our older brother, though, may as well be from a different planet..we are so different and incompatible.

Since I've been on staycation since last Thursday, I've had great sleep...been able to stay up till 10:30 or 11 and sleep in until 7-7:30 (still dark then). It's great not getting up at my normal 5-5:30 during the work week.

My furnace went out a couple weeks ago...was fun to go to sleep when it was 73 in the house, wake up at 3am w/ the A/C blowing cold and it down to 62...turned it off, woke up in the morning to 59 degrees inside. Got it repaired, but had a night without the furnace at all as they had to wait on a part...

I like a lot of British TV also...as far as the cold case/murder genres, the UK crime shows are better IMO than the US ones....I like Waking the Dead (not to be confused with The Walking Dead zombiefest) in particular. Also Sherlock, New Tricks, George Gently ('60s set Northern England crime show), Broadchurch, River (recent short run show w/ Stellan Skarsgard), Wallander (filmed in Sweden w/ Kenneth Branaugh). The recent Amazon series Bosch was excellent also, derived from Michael Connelly's long running novels.
