  1. The quarter windows are an interesting detail change, as is the flattish rear window. In profile and the front the car it reminds me of the most is the Ferrari 599.
  2. Yes, my Grand Cherokee is like that...maybe it's from driving it for over 12 years, but the layout works for me. Lighting on the left, wiping on the right. Every time I'm in a GM rental or driving my sister's DTS I seem to cycle the wipers when signalling at least once..
  3. Depends on what you are used to, I guess. I like how Jeeps (and some other Chrysler products I've noticed) have all the lighting functions on the left stalk and the wipers on the right one. Always thought it was weird how GM puts the wiper controls on the turn signal stalk, easy to turn on the wipers when signaling.
  4. Like what I've seen of the front, profile and interior. I can see dark gray, black and other dark colors would work better--I don't care for the black rear lower fascia..
  5. At lunch today I saw a Coubird (or Thundar)---a red '85-86 Cougar w/ a black '87-88 T-Bird Turbo Coupe front clip. Weird. On the way home saw a dark gray Tesla Model S in traffic, first one I've seen in person..very sharp, looks bigger than I thought..
  6. Unfortunately, Word has been the corporate standard for so long....for the last 15 years I've had to use it everywhere I've worked for the most part... my current company (which is all Mac-based) uses Google Docs, but I usually use Open Office to create Word docs for clients. I use Open Office at home, it's pretty compatible w/ Word. The best document program I've ever used was LaTeX when I was in grad school back in the '90s, it's painful to use and incredibly complex but very powerful...you would write the markup in a plain text file like programming directives and compile it to produce a document, tedious but it forced discipline and rigor...
  7. Saw a white 1st gen post-MCE Toyota Avalon that someone took the 'Japanese Buick' nickname seriously with...had a late '90s Le Sabre grille (more or less fit) and a Buick tri-shield badge on the decklid with a 'BUICK' badge.
  8. Saw a silver Facel Vega parked at a restaurant today, quite a rare sight.
  9. So this is the all-new redesign based on the FR-S platform, I believe? Comparing w/ pics of the current car it doesn't appear to be an MCE.
  10. Pointy...some interesting details, not sure about the front fascia. Nice RWD proportions, sporty interior...nice to see a proper CD slot in the dash.
  11. I've read Windows 8 is quite different from past iterations...I've been using Win 7 for about 2 1/2 years and am comfortable w/ it.
  12. The ILX seems rather redundant w/ the TSX.
  13. trattoria
  14. Neat...never heard it, but I'd like to drive it...
  15. Yes, and no resemblance in the design...the Aztek is all flat planes and sharp angles, while the Juke has a lot of curves...
  16. Black car day...saw a black Lincoln MkT Town Car edition in it's natural habit (near the airport). Saw a house that had two black Chrysler Crossfires in the driveway, one coupe and one cabrio. Saw the black Lincoln Blackwood today that I see every few months. Saw a black 5th gen Camaro SS convertible, top down.
  17. you (as in Tattoo You, an '80s Stones album)
  18. I would think the engine would be scrap also if it burned..the wiring gone, gaskets, rubber stuff, etc.
  19. Did it used to be a PA beer? One of the coolest things I've seen is a buddy of mine in Denver that is from Pittsburgh has a home bar in his basement, with taps, kegerators, brick, barstools and signs all over of PA beers, ones like Latrobe, Iron City, photos of the Burg, etc...
  20. I'm fairly familiar w/ the beer scene in Colorado and Arizona. We have a few craft brewers in AZ and quite a few in Colorado. Four Peaks Brewery in Tempe is close to my new office and our new main happy hour hangout. A small brewery that is near home that I like is Sunup Brewery in Phoenix. When I lived in Colorado I took a tour of the Coors brewery and New Belgium Brewery. I like a lot of the beers from New Belgium and Breckenridge Breweries. IIRC, in Colorado you could buy only 3.2 percent beer at groceries but there were plenty of liquor stores around, but they weren't open Sundays (I think that has changed in the last few years). AZ seems to have no restrictions, can buy beer pretty much anywhere/anytime. As far as PA brews, I remember Rolling Rock and Keystone being staples of my college years in NE Ohio...
  21. What's an 'Access Cab'? Never heard that name. Edit: apparently it's Toyotaese for 'extended cab'.
  22. The Leaf, Juke and Cube...Nissan has some distinctive, polarizing designs in their small cars. Yet they also have the Versa, Sentra and Altima which look pretty ordinary and mainstream.
  23. The iQ is a Toyota/Scion...
  24. Must be something someone made a joke...
