It was an updated '30s car, so it was a decade behind. The 10 came out in '37. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vauxhall_10-4

I'm not a FWD fan, but the coupe is really good looking...that roofline is what I think a Fusion coupe could look like...

hella cool...this would help revitalize Suzuki here, I think.

eMpg is going to be the performance measure for this class of car, I believe. -
Dodge News: Rumorpile: Challenger To Stay On, Barrcuda To Take SRT
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Dodge
Yes... iconic names and badging... 'Barracuda' makes me think of the Valiant based fastbacks and 6cyl/318 base models...'Cuda was the name for performance models, so it makes sense the SRT cars should be 'Cudas...- 21 replies

I forgot the Mazda6..it's so invisible in the market..the new one looks quite promising, though...I'd rank it high..I forgot the Avenger was still in production, it's such a non-entity.

Other stuff I've been eyeballing
Robert Hall replied to Camino LS6's topic in Auctions and Classifieds
Something looks really funny about that one..the tires/wheels are really tiny or it's had a lift? -

With the Volt at around $40k, I wonder if the ELR will be $50-60k, or higher--making it a flagship of sorts... -

Future Of The Commodore Still Uncertain
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
Yeah, what call 'Pro Stock' today is hilarious...I saw one of those vile rounded turds that was labeled a Pontiac G6, it was more of a funny car than anything 'stock'....Pro Stock should require 100% stock body panels, IMO. -

True, but they still do look like real cars...real, RWD cars..not FWD appliances. Where are the cars that look like a FWD? NASCAR does not even come close to that unless you count stickers a grill and tail lights. The problem with NASCAR is that they have RWD race cars using the names of FWD street cars (Impala, Fusion, Camry). There are plenty of series that do have production-based FWD race cars (WTCC, BTCC, Grand Am, etc). -

With the crazy disguise paint can't really tell much about what it looks like... -

Saw some wierdness w/ badging over the last few days... Saw a Dodge Ram that someone had reworked the taillight badging to read 'DOUG'. Saw a Chevy Volt that someone had rearranged the lettering to read 'VLOT'. Saw a black Tahoe in Ohio that had the door badging changed to something like 'KINGSTON' or 'KINGMAN' in factory-styling lettering...strange.

Speaking of coupes in midsize FWD models..I think this is the only one for '13 (unless Nissan does a coupe version of the new Altima). A coupe version of the Fusion would look great, but I doubt if Ford would build it.

Chevy could use the same idea to make an El Camino from the Traverse. That would be cool..sort of.
-
The Chevy probably had a rusted out frame in a salty Rust Belt state.
-
And risk this happening? I think not! That looks like a Chevy w/ the tilt bed...

Alfa Romeo, Where For Art Thou? :Comments
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Alfa Romeo
Economics means they have to continue to share FWD platforms w/ Fiat as they have done for decades.. though this possible new sports car platform with Mazda is promising. -
I had an '88 Bronco II 4x4 for 6 years, but if I had to do it over again I would have preferred a Cherokee or Wagoneer. (the Bronco was free, so I couldn't complain much)

Slow news period.. -
A Ridgeline seems like a good compromise--could make a plow truck, but it also has the car/truck style and appeal of an El Camino...
-
You just had to know someone was going to post that here!! Not sure if the Accord would work well w/ a snowplow on the front..isn't Camino looking for a plow truck for the winter?
