  1. Don't convert. R12 can be had cheap. It will never be as cold if you convert.
  2. I drove a $50k ATS 4-cylinder today... And the turbo 4 is a better overall experience due to balance.
  3. Gm midsized trucks aren't here. They'll be at the Sept 30 event
  4. No no, all new cars...most manufacturers. Get to drive them and take some on the track and some on the off road course.
  5. Of course there will be pics! Two day event starts tomorrow
  6. Hi from Monticello Motor Club and Raceway in Monticello NY
  7. Why benchmark against a vehicle that feels 20 years old in design? At least use the S-Class as the benchmark, it's the newest of the big guys.
  8. There are better rebates available on the Sierra depending on your configuration though. I"m trying to decide if I'm going to attempt to do video on the truck or not. It is a time thing since I won't have any assistant with me.
  9. It might even be tomorrow.... I don't know if they will be at the event I'm at tomorrow... but I'm 99% sure 100% sure* they will be at the event on Sept 30. * just got the confirmation for the Sep 30 event
  10. I'm going to be driving these this month.
  11. no, I built it as a crew... and remember, I said it was after rebates.
  12. If you don't like it, just wait another 24 hours....
  13. Reg, you're actually wrong about the regs. If anything, the best move for Chrysler would be to increase the LX platform wheelbase by 2 inches and track by 1 inch. That would actually lower the EPA requirement for fuel economy. Referencing my above trip in the 300... we followed up in San Francisco with a '15 Sonata 2.4. Same 4 guys, same trunk full of luggage, mostly highway driving with minimal changes in altitude and only once stuck in traffic while we waited to pay a toll, driving in "Eco" mode all the time. 27.5 mpg... all for a 100hp deficit I'm betting we actually would have done better in San Fran if we'd had the 300 instead. I almost grabbed a 200 Limited, but the trunk would have never held all of our luggage... both the 300 and Sonata were full.
  14. Some more spots from my recent trip to Boulder and San Francisco...
  15. but where do you put the batteries?
  16. OK, so I can get a Canyon Crew-Long box 4WD SLT for $38k or a Sierra Crew-Long box 4WD SLT for $38k after rebates.... = GM pricing
  17. You'll pick it back up again after no more than 3 stalls. The only manuals I ever have difficulty with are Honda 4-cylinders... I'm just not used to the lack of torque. Also... the Jetta TDI was probably a good car to learn on because of the huge amounts of low end torque and therefor less propensity to stall... I also feel that the GM 6-speed manual paired with the 1.4T in the Sonic and Cruze are excellent units as well.
  18. I've seen 2 MKC in the wild. If Buick brings the Envision here, it will murder the MKC
  19. I thought Z71 was just a suspension and towing package. I never saw them as more aggressive than their non-Z71 counterparts.
  20. they need a new Lancer and a new galant. Maybe they should partner with VW on platforms
  21. Ram already has the best mpg in trucks and also offers a light duty diesel. Why spend all the money for aluminum for little real world benefit? The Chrysler 8-speed is their trump card.
  22. Given the choice, I'd take the K900 over the Genesis.
