  1. I liked it, but didn't love it as I had hoped. I'm hoping Chevy turns out a version with sliding doors that not so expensive. And maybe the price is what it's all about. For that price, other products (within GM) just seem like better answers for our family. I'm sure if Oldsmobile offered something, it would fit our taste perfectly.
  2. Funny, I had just gotten a honda odyssey brochure and was thinking; If only it had a GM logo on it. Really though . . . My true guilty pleasure would be the 1980s Citation. I'm not sure why I like it. Maybe it just reminds me of good times as a kid.
  3. Glad to see you got it fixed. I've always heard that toyota, honda and nissan clutches are fairly weak, and then to go out often.
  4. We actually use our SUV like they used to be made for, unlike most people. Our Suburbans pull things, been buried in mud up to their chassis, go on rough roads on a regular basis, haul more than 2 kids . . . The Acadia, though nice, just doesn't seem to have the toughness we are looking for.
  5. After test driving the Acadia, I'm not sure anymore. I'll need to wait for the Buick version, or see a Chevy Lambda prior to deciding on something new.
  6. The buyer of this car will want to replace the stock radio the day they take it home. Looks like honda gave them no choice but to keep it. It's not just the digital dash that's GM of the 80's, its the stereo, the multiple buttons that are the same size, the seats that are made only for skinny people . . . All things GM got slammed for, and honda seems to be getting praise or ignored about.
  7. They need to do a bigger push on their high mileage trucks. A full ad showing the multiple million mile vehicles would be awesome.
  8. My Wife and I drove one last night. We liked it overall, but like our Suburban better. For that matter, we found the Trailblazer EXT to be a better alternative for such a vehicle.
  9. The HHR ad was great. Hopefully they will keep running it.
  10. YEAH!! They figured out a smaller engine was the answer. Glad to see GM is going with the better gas mileage vs the max power.
  11. I've driven it. I like it. The negative is the price and the funky dash.
  12. I would think one would want the Vectra way over that thing.
  13. The last time we made a family road trip to Los Angeles, I had my daughters count the number of each brand line on the side of the road (not from flats or our of gas, but from dead engines, or ??). If I remember right, they counted 10 toyotas, 8 hondas and 1 GM product.
  14. I love the comment on the toyota cheap interior. Finally GM has interiors that are the best.
  15. That's why GM needs to look, and has been, at smaller more efficent cars around the globe. Most don't have the money or space like we do.
  16. I just toured the Nummi plant this last December and saw the section of the plant they were updating for the new product. We even saw what we thought was a shell of the new product, as it didn't look like the current Vibe, or toyota products.
  17. The writers are getting old, hence why the soft ride is becoming more desired.
  18. Nice looking car. Congrats!
  19. It'll be Hillary with Obama as her running mate in the end (possibly vis-a-versa). Either way, the two together is a strong combination for the Democrats.
  20. Much cheaper than I thought for all the equipment they have thrown in.
  21. Atleast we know, when toyota does something they want to be the best at it. They are starting off the year in the direction of being the recall king of the year again.
  22. 14 years next month of being married, and 16+ years of being together. Our answer. Work through everything and get outside help when needed. No relationship is perfect, but with work & prayer it will be worth it. The problem; Just like everything else, we all want a short term quick fix with the highs and no lows. Life is about all of the emotions. Once you learn to embrace them, then you can learn to work with others.
  23. I live in a town with a population of approx 2600. We leave the quite and beauty to go to the big city for entertainment and work. Really though, a 1 minute drive puts me on a dirt road by wineries and such. No need to leave home to "get away".
  24. Without an offical GM announcement, or Lutz announcement I don't buy it.
  25. Neutral for gas mileage, downshift for driving aggressively.
